What are you eating right now?

100 grams of blueberries contain just 5 grams of sugar. That's less than one-third the sugar in 100 grams of grapes (17 grams). Blueberries are also chockful with micros, including phytos. Eating a few grapes is fine for people without a metabolic disorder. Those with metabolic disorders should be aware of the quantity consumed and the effect it has on their blood glucose levels.

So what if I sugar my blueberries after adding to my cereal? :)

So yesterday I went to the office and my nemesis Klaus was there. He had good news and bad news. The good news was he quit his current job and went into the private sector which means he won't regale us with his tri-annual visits any longer. Good riddance. But wait, now the bad news. He's going to start working a Synopsys in Sunnyvale. Instead of spending most of his time in the Fatherland, he will be living in California. And he wants to stay in touch. Santa Klaus brought gingerbread to the office. Everybody at the office got a bag with an assortment fresh from Nuremberg and I must confess it's not half bad. It's the Klaus part that's grinding my nerves. He's worse than Old Stubblechin, the mustachioed HR lady.

Cukes, radicchio and broc micro green salad with ACV and Cali EVOO, half half grass feed beef and lamb meat roaf and Italian EVOO, 50/50 mix of the minestrone soup from the other day and the angled tubetti and fagioli sauce with collards, bacon, tomatoes and green beans. Take it easy @#18FAN there is like 10 pieces of pasta in there. :ROFLMAO: 🤪

One grape, two grapes, or 20 grapes? Measure your blood sugar before and and 90 minutes after eating x-amount of grapes. See if your sugar comes down in a reasonable amount of time. Look at your A1c.
I am tired of carrying that flag --------------so ---------------thanks!!

So I scooped a couple heaps of ricotta in a bowl. One date, one fig. A scant teaspoon of local not so sweet quince jam on top.

Oh man that was delicious.

Don't you DARE tell @Pablo !!!

American legion Christmas party. Cajun chicken, pulled beef brisket , 3 cheese Mac and cheese and baked potatoes, garlic and herb. Lots of us “regular members” and others took lots home. I did dishes and took all the trash out. Plus donated $300 towards “kids for Christmas toy drive”.

Good afternoon all in all. Had few diet cokes l; no beer today.

I have autopsied the plain-looking gingerbread. Appears to be 50% sugar, and 50% ground nuts. I taste almonds and hazelnuts, maybe walnuts? There is finely chopped citrus peel in there. Gingerbread spices, predominately cinnamon, clove, mace, cardamom, vanilla, maybe ginger. I taste booze, probably rum. No flour as far as I can tell. What holds the dough together? Egg or egg whites would be my guess because of the texture, taste, and smell. The dough is probably more like a batter because it's applied onto a thin wafer. One gingerbread weighs 40 grams. If it's 50 percent sugar one gingerbread has about 20 g of carbs plus maybe 8 more carbs from the nuts and citrus peel. I'll be eating half of one every day. I'll keep the chocolate-glazed ones but will give the sugar-glazed ones to people I don't like.

I would eat the heck out of those. Stay back!!!

Hahahhahahaaha

Are they commercial made or Ms. Klaus VonStrudel made them?
He said, and I quote, "I haff braught you all ausentic chincherbrett from an old bakery in Nuremberg vhere they hanged all zee knotsies." I didn't know they were doing that at bakeries but I'm not squeamish! So not homemade but not mass-produced either. Klaus is a bounder rather than an honorable man. 🤣
