What are you eating right now?

4 scrambled eggs, kale and onions and salsa. With some hot sauce to go along. Had avocado earlier this morning.

Pasta for Lunch: Trader Joe's Trofie pasta in a simple sauce made from Sugar Plum grape tomatoes. This is the easiest sauce I've ever made ... just throw the tomatoes into a blender, add a small clove of garlic, whiz it around, and dump it into a small pan. Add herbs and your choice of fat, and cook it down a bit while the pasta's cooking. Top with your favorite fresh-grated cheese. The idea for the sauce came from the good folks at Pasta Grammar with a strong nod to Marcella Hazan's famous simple tomato sauce.

Golden Corral for dads birthday today. Not what I wanted but not going to complain on someone’s birthday. He is 63 years old today. After we leave we are going to do our favorite thing. Watch baseball. Will try and find the Reds game if they have one. I got him a Reds hat for his birthday which he loves and is wearing it now. I got me a matching one. He is a lifelong Reds fan. Maybe we can grill this weekend that’s what I wanted to do.

Sometimes when the week has run long, and you find yourself without fresh protein, you have to innovate. I had bagged salads and cooked wild rice on hand so made a salad of this...

No rhyme or reason to it but it checked all the boxes and ate well.

Will shop this weekend😁

Tomato sandwiches. Toasted bread, mayo, thick slices of garden tomato, provolone cheese, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning.

Yum yum.

Washing it down with a Busch Apple or few. View attachment 176244
Sandwich looks okay, but is the beer that awful it requires fruit flavouring? Though with AB having the trouble they are I guess they are open to all things.
