Nah they're still toothsome you can tell by the colour.
I shocked them in an ice bath to arrest the cooking, then gave them a quick dunk to bring them to temp for plating.
Some of them were bent at the tips from fresh...
I'm glad to hear it. You have more patience than I do. I don't give asparagus the spa treatment. Welcome back by the by.
 
Errand lady came today after school. Brought back laundry, took out trash, got my mail and did grocery shopping.

Grocery store got a smoker, do ribs and chicken some days. (never know when) Mentioned getting 1/2 rack of pork ribs if this was one of the lucky days. She called from the store. All they had smoked were whole chickens and turkey thighs. Told her to grab me a thigh. It looks and smells great! Will eat later.
