What are you eating right now?

I made semolina gnocchi for dinner. I then covered them with shredded cheese and bits of ham and baked in the toaster oven - kissed toaster oven treat thread opportunity! Ate this with mixed veggies, including collard greens.

Gnocchi being boiled.

Here is a pic of our small town "yuppy" pizza special today. Reuben pizza. I could eat the toppings is about all.

I'm no fan of thick crust in the 1st place. Besides wanting thin crust, I want sauce and toppings all the way to the edge. Plus the toppings look pretty meager. If I want crust, just give me breadsticks and dipping sauce. Looked at their menu and see no crust offerings, other than this.

Maybe it is just me being old and grumpy. I'll take a Casey's supreme pizza and be happy for 1/2 the price. If I wanted that "yuppy" stuff, I would find a driver and take me to the city. Town of 5000 people and only 2 pizza joint options.

At least they are building a new Pizza Hut here this spring. Has to be better than this stuff!😀
I find pizza to be among the more divisive foods. Everybody likes it a bit differently. People get shivved over pineapple on pizza. That's okay - having different tastes, not getting shivved! I prefer a thin crust, with a crispy bottom and edge, almost no sauce, a few toppings and very little cheese. I'd eat the edge crust of your pizza. Did you know that the ancient Romans didn't use rolling pins but were stretching the dough by hand? It looked more like focaccia and they called it pinsa. It was meatless.

That looks good, what ever it is!

Not sure on the greens. My Daughter brought me soup the last 2 weeks. Much appreciated.

Both batches looked great. Then I tasted it and went yuck!

Some green stuff in there, and I blame it on that. Maybe kale? I have no idea, but it tastes nasty. Don't recall ever eating kale, so I will blame it on that.

You do you, and I do me. LOL!

I'm too old to change, unless something really impresses me.

Roman's can hand stretch pizza all they want by hand, as long as it ends up thin crust like you described above and put on the toppings I like with plenty of sauce.

If not, I beat their head with the rolling pin!;)

I told you pizza was divisive. Dry-crust pizza vs rolling pin out in the field at 5:00 am. The advantage is yours.

It's a balmy 43° in Fort Greene today, and I finished my route a little early, so I had time for a meal not eaten in my Jeep

Let's take a seat outside at the Wegman's Market Cafe+Bar
