What are you doing right now?

This just came
Has to be over 200 pounds and I got it into the bedroom but the cardboard is very slick... stroke time.

When I was in my townhouse, I bought a computer hutch that needed assembly. Got the box off the shelf and onto the cart in the store, paid for it, rolled it out to my truck and slid the box off the cart and into the back part of my SUV. Easy.

Then I got home and it hit me - how the [self-censored] am I going to not only get this thing into the house, but upstairs by myself? I wound up backing the truck into the garage and unboxing the thing there, then took inventory and took the thing up in pieces to be assembled. I didn't write a song about it like Johnny Cash did, but I did get the thing upstairs, one piece at a time.

As for what I'm doing, just brought Mom back from her doctor appointment (I am sooo grateful he not only has Saturday hours, but Saturday hours in the afternoon. Makes life easier). She gets lunch and I get to take the car to get some gas.

(y) I'm guilty of opening the box in the SUV and moving the pieces. Usually quicker and easier than asking for help.

Change in plans...got an e-mail that my data is ready so no gas station run tonight. On the bright side, I found an error that needs fixing and it's a lot easier to grab the I/T resource now than at 11PM...

I'd start counting the days to retirement but the number is still large enough to be depressing.
