What are you doing right now?

I’m eating dinner and watching some baseball. I went to McDonald’s and got me a few of those fried apple pies for dessert. I think they are so much better than the baked ones they had before. I think the fried ones are only for this year though. If they switch back I’ll go to Hardee’s like before. I’ve tried to limit myself two per week but they get me every time because they are so good lol.

After the game I’m going to hang up more clothes. I’m new to this whole hanging up clothes thing. Apparently people use their closet for stuff other than dress clothes these days. I grew up to believe closets were only for dress clothes or occasionally worn clothes and nothing else. I guess I was wrong lol. All my pants I don’t hang up but shirts I do.

Only if you count Subway. But I haven’t eaten there in many years and don’t plan to ever eat there again either. Never really liked it.
Man what do you eat lol. Not judging just truly curious. To my knowledge you are the only person I’ve ever talked too that has never been to at least McDonalds. I guess everyone has their preference for eating which is cool. I love all fast food lol I am guilty of that because it taste so good.

We got a counter offer on the house and accepted it. It's signed! Now we have about 10 days to complete inspections and drop the conditions we placed. Mainly a full house inspection, a scan for buried oil tanks, and a title search.

Assuming everything is good (and I expect it will be) we'll move forward and get possession on Sept 28th - we weren't in a big rush and they have to find a place so that was fine. I'll be having the electrical panel replaced (it is currently a Federal Pioneer Stablok panel) and will be either adding air conditioning to the natural gas furnace or just replacing the whole thing with a heat pump.

I cook at home and rarely eat out. And when I do, it isn’t fast food. Only eat out if I am meeting a friend for say lunch or something like that.

I generally eat farm fresh and organic when I can. I have my own garden and I get my eggs, beef and milk all from local farms. I live in the sticks so not really any places to go eat at anyway, which suits me fine. The closest a McDonalds to me is over 30 miles away. I had to look that up because I actually didn’t know where the closest one was before now.

I find McDonald's to be a nice treat. I grew up about 2 hours from the city and when we went in for the day we'd usually stop at McD's on the way home (and sometimes Burger King). I'd say I eat there too much now and need to cut back, particularly as I'm starting to put on weight around the middle as I get closer to 50.

Having said that, @AutoMechanic says they have fried Apple Pies now so I'll maybe stop in this weekend and try one out! 😋🤤😋🤤🍴🍴

I can definitely respect that. I’m trying to learn more about cooking personally. I’m pretty good at the grill so now I’ve got to learn the inside stuff. McDonald’s and Taco Bell are like my guilty pleasures besides Chinese food lol. I personally enjoy eating at home over eating out anyways. My sister has a farm and often slaughters the cows or chickens or whatever but she don’t give us anything though haha. Everyone thinks I’m weird because I want to eat at home but I enjoy eating at home and I also prefer getting restaurant food to go if possible. Only on special occasions do I want to sit down in a restaurant.

You have to try them haha. Good, good, good lol. They were brought back as a throwback to 1976 since this year was the 250th anniversary. I guess it’s what they had back in the 70s. I like them much more than the baked ones. I hope they are a permanent addition but based on what I’ve heard they are only for this year only.

Oh no! I just checked and it's USA only! Not sure I want to cross the border just for an apple pie 😂

I love the Sausage 'n Egg McMuffin so found a butcher that sells round sausage patties and then bought one of those round silicon things you can put in the pan - you crack the egg and it cooks it in the round shape. I usually don't bother with the bun but an English muffin does nicely if you want. Very quick and easy.

That's pretty crazy dude.
And admirable.
Any particular reason why?
You're the first person I've come across that can say that with such blunt honesty.
Just have no desire to eat fast food. Grew up with that mindset and never changed. I will say I did once go inside of a McDonalds - to meet someone who I was purchasing a used laptop off of. But only for that reason because they wanted to meet there. And of course I didn’t get anything to eat lol.

Me too!
When I make the sannies I use lightly toasted Scotch Baps.
Givem a try they're perfect for the application 👍For reference here's a few burgers I made the other night using them. It looks bready but they're not, they're super airy after toasting. You just give them a little press before digging in. There's a light crunch but the interior is very light and moist. Works really well. 130 calories per small roll that fit my burgers perfectly😋
