If work is to be done she ain't going to be around. It was a fiasco as every salesman was pounding on my door..seriously.. getting a no soliciting sign tomorrow.It's incredible that you single guys actually get anything done at all without a woman around to tell you when you're doing it wrong.

You might try Corsi-Rosenthal boxes . I built one, mostly for my wife--she is way more sensitive to smoke than I am--but the smoke was bad enough to even bother me.
I went to Wally World, bought box fans and 3M MERV 12 MPR 1500 filters (the purple ones, but the black ones would work, might even work better).
I was astonished at what a good job the thing did clearing up our indoor smoke, even on the low fan-speed setting. I mean both really surprised and really impressed. My wife was not at all impressed and refused to touch it because it is "ugly" and "noisy", which as we all know matters far more than how well it works. But after using it for a while she decided it could stay and I even caught her turning it on multiple times.
