What are you doing right now?

I remember working and painting on top of tanks at a tank farm in weather like this. I was young and dealt with it. I could never do that today.
In the days before air conditioned shops we had some days like this too. It was awful but manageable except it wasn’t manageable around the guys that didn’t wear deodorant lol. This weather my glasses side down my nose so I have to keep fixing them lol.

Hey @Pablo since HPL won't be doing a 4th sale, I thought I'd give Amsoil a shot, what would you recommend for a BMW 2017 540ix (G30) in 5W40/0W40, and what store near the 98075 zip would stock it?

Got back from Target.
Saw 87 octane @3.43 88@$3.18
And this is the hottest I have ever seen it here.

I just watched some big girl run across a main road running from the cops and her dog was chasing and barking at the cops and running after the owner lol. They tackled her and got her finally after she tripped on the median lol. We almost got slammed too because we had to slam on the brakes when the cop car stopped sideways in the road and the other officers came running. Now we are going to another Ace Hardware store.

Big girl?

Did an oil change on the 2017 Ford Flex in between cutting grass. She's a bit warm and my pasty ass burnt some more. I worked that FS111 quite well. The .093 or whatever line broke every minute of run time in the thick weeds. If I could find .105 in stock that'd be great.

Today was burnt up working outside so I'll prep some beef ribs maybe fore tomorrow.

Trying to stay awake. Weather was so-so, so I did a 25 mile ride as it didn't seem too sunny. Go figure, turned around and the sun came out, along with a headwind. Got home and the wife wanted to go to a friends house to go swimming. Fine at our hose, 4 miles away it was pouring. Our friend was tearing apart a rototiller that ate a belt so I spent like an hour helping him fix that--first thing I did was slice open a thumb, then spent the rest of the time trying not to bleed on it. I couldn't wear my glasses as the sweat was pouring off me, so it was just like whenever I work on something at home.

But got my swim in, helped him get his rototiller back together (snuck off before he started it, I really didn't want find out what we did wrong), had a sub for dinner and now having some cold snacks before bed. And perusing BITOG of course.

Did you get her number?

Forgot to mention, yesterday's fiasco was fixing the microwave that suddenly quit. The diode and cap tested good, which left the magnetron. I did check the door switches but it sounded like it was running, and when I did check them, they seemed fine--but I never checked the hinges. While hemming and hawing, I noticed that the primary winding on the transformer looked liked it had gotten warm. Given how it'd take a week for parts to show up, and that, if not careful, I might hit half the cost of new, I pulled the plug and replaced it.

Had to use the kids CRV to go and get the new one. Did not realize how low on power that car is--my Corolla is a rocket by comparison. He's not complaining, so I'm not fixing, but maybe that CEL is actually for something important. [I think the flat exhaust lobe on one cylinder is part of the blame but it's not missing, yet.] My main takeaway was to avoid driving his car as much as I can (but it's the only one with a big boot).

Well, the weather really opened up here. Originally we had a weather watch but the radar had the worst moving around us, to the north.

Thankfully, it could have been worse. The tornado warnings came back and the clouds got ugly. They moved around us and then the hail and rain came. The poor horses just stand still and take it.

Watching the high fireworks over the National Mall from our front porch. The booms are quite thumpy considering the distance.
Came in to listen to the military bands playing and singing modern rock/pop on TV.
Funny, pouring down rain here and 7 miles away as the crow flies the sky is clear at the Mall and they're putting on their show.
