What are you doing right now?

I just finished mowing and weedeating. I came in for lunch and to cool off, then going back out to trim the hedges.

I was born and raised in southern Mississippi, but I hate the heat. I would rather deal with the cold. At least I can bundle up in the cold and make it bearable. There's not much you can do when it's 95°F with 82% humidity.

I can't wait to get to Florida to escape the Maryland heat, I'm serious... I get it... I said the heck with it until 8 pm

Do you have family there?
I seem to remember you've been there 2-3 times in the short time I've been a Bitoger🤔
Yes. 👍 I can’t wait until the grandkids can fish!

Kids scattered along coastal AK I guess I could say.

I really am looking into swinging six months on Kodiak. It really is my heaven on Earth

The surroundings are awesome but it just seems to be a place where people who stopped going north or couldn’t make it in bush. Not unlike Stinkattle or Porthell.
I have only been to Anchorage once but I got a redneck Portland-lite vibe when I was there. The ratio of normies to not normie is quite a bit better though. They also have a pretty significant homeless/drunk/druggie population but they seemed pretty localized, at least in the summer when I was there.

My cousin in law said they find a few dozen dead drunks every winter, usually from when they fall or pass out at night. Most of the hardcore tribal drug users go back to their villages during the coldest months where people look out for them more so that happens less in that community, at least according to him.

If you go into a grocery store, you'll find that every drop of alcohol is in a locked area. Even the hand sanitizer dispensers at the ER are locked.
