What are you doing right now?

I just got paid so I paid on all of my credit cards. Just chilling at work waiting on approval. I want to go out to the Chinese place for lunch but getting out of debt sounds much better lol.
Best way to get out of debt is to not get into unnecessary debt - ie, buying stuff you don't actually need. Cut up some of those credit cards, lol.

I was surprised I didn’t use the one I paid off when I sold the truck. It was hard but if I can keep it under control like that then I’m doing good.
In the future treat your credit card like cash. Don’t buy something with it unless you know for sure that you will have the money to fully pay it off when the statement comes. 99% of my entire adult life I have been in the habit of paying off my credit card in full every month and never having a balance. I only really use it for convenience (I never need to carry cash) and because I get cash back (which generally adds up to $40 to 50 a month)

I also have never carried a credit card balance from one month to the next. Living within our means, saving and investing all we could, and not buying frivolous stuff while still a long ways from obtaining our goals, is why we were both able to retire early. Our young friend can do the same with some financial discipline.

Yeah I’m never maxing them out again. Lesson learned there. I should have listened to the adults around me when I first got them but I didn’t. Now I will. It does feel good knowing that I’ve got two paid off and have 5 that are ahead so hopefully I can keep it that way.

Why so many?

Possibly bought another used truck. Ok we did but its getting some tires and minor things fixed before we picked up mid month. 2020 Ram 1500 classic with 83,000km. Its a dark charcoal crew cab with the 5.7.

Decided to flush out my fleet of garbage. The old van and sunfire will be put up for sale next week and depending in how my promotion application goes, might get rid of the Escape as well.
