What are you doing right now?

Sitting in my warm, fully lit house watching the Olympics on TV in a home powered by my Kohler 20kW whole house generator. Power failed and Kohler unit automatically flopped house over to genset and fully up and running in less than 10 seconds. Hour 3 on the generator using natural gas. It is below freezing outside. Was 5F a couple of days ago. This why I invested in a house generator, we have hot water radiators for heat. Power failures seem to be happening more frequently in the last few years.

Power company projects return to grid power 6 hours from now at 3am. Total of 9 hours expected on the generator, 22F is forecast at 3am. Will need to check oil level tomorrow.

I topped off the oil 7 days ago using AMSOIL 5w-30 small engine synthetic oil. Added 4 ounces of oil after 15 hours runtime since new. The Software reports air cooled oil sump temp as 138F after running 3+ hours. outside air temp is 30F. I expected higher oil temps to boil off any condensation from the scheduled weekly 20 min test runs. Oil sump only gets to 115-120F during the test run. Temperature seems too low but engine has a good reputation.

You're such a softy letting her pick the show.
I’ll change now

The oil in certain areas like the ring pack, what splashes on the bottom of the pistons and in the journal bearings will get hotter than the sump temperature, so that would help burn off some condensation over a long runtime like it's doing this time around.

We are riding around. Some guy tried to sell me stuff at a gas station I’m like nope don’t want any of that. Then there was a fight that went on outside I told dad now we remember why we don’t come to gas stations on this end of town lol.

Also been tracking and reading about the Nancy Guthrie case and hoping she comes back ok but I don’t know if it’s looking too good or not.

Blood was found early on, I think she's dead.

Just left my Dermatologist where they get to bill my insurance for who knows how much $$$ to spray a little liquid nitrogen on a spot here and there, and say "see you again next year".

There was some crack-erse ex CIA/FBI person on some terrible radio show the other night driving to a meeting. She said they had it all figured out, could figure out where he got his shoes, back pack, etc............he's an amateur, etc. He they got the dude. Geesh.

Next day, nothing.
Think the best lead they have is to find out who's DNA is in the found black glove ... now two gloves I just heard.

Getting that workout in just as everyone else right?
I’m always “working out” all day long since I’m constantly getting steps, I don’t sit still for long periods of time. My average so far for 2026 is just over 12,000 steps a day and once my walking tours start up again soon that number will climb dramatically. I’m not a fan of intense workouts, my whole adult life I’ve been a walker. Even when it’s too cold or icy outside, I still can get steps indoors very easily.
