What are you doing right now?

I got bored and counted Jimmy boy. I have 38 sticks of modern deodorant, one spray deodorant and then 5 vintage deodorants from the 90s and early 2000s lol. Probably enough to last me till I’m in my 40s.
Sooooooo ;) it is you! AutoMechanic causing my grief at the local WalMarts! They have near everything in the "smell good" section under lock and key! I got so fed up one day when the girl was putting one single spray can of Man Spray in a lock box since I still had shopping to do. I told her "really!? you must lock up one small can of Man Spray that cost $9 for fear someone will steal it? Just keep it."
Old man Boomer Rant #487: :ROFLMAO: Just teasing you AutoMechanic. EVERY woman is crazy about a good smelling man! Carry on. (y)

Just got done doing DoorDash. Dad is mad at his DoorDash because he keeps getting crappy orders lol. Dad worked today and works tomorrow which is good because he needs to work. I think I’ve made a tough decision but I think I’m going to sell the Beetle I’ve had it 7 years haven’t done anything to it that I planned to do and just don’t have the motivation or time to anymore either so I’m going to stick $2,500 on it and take $2,000 if it’s offered and I need the money so I think it’s time to sell it. If I get $2,000 out of it I’m going to pay off my $2,000 credit card and actually be able to get ahead finally. If I get $2,500 I’ll pay $500 towards my $1500 card. That way I can get my credit back up and not have to worry about so many payments and have a small emergency fund. Plus with the way things have been going is soon I’m going to want to get my own place so I need to save for that too. Also it won’t be impressive to any girl if I have abandoned cars sitting around lol.

I have a friend who runs a fishing guide service on the Skagit. He has a lot of eagle stories and a very firm rule about small dogs in his boats.
Juno learned a nature lesson and she was pissed. Maybe AI can tell us how much load a full grown larger sized bald eagle can carry but I know for a fact that a young eagle can’t grasp and take off with even a dead chicken under 8 pounds

Funny part wife ran out there screaming and somehow dropped the van keys on our property somewhere

I found them in the kitchen two hours later

Most of my life I was somewhere else to even see one … Eventually they discovered we had several fish farms - so I now see one once and a while …

He is ticked because his owner stopped all of his treats... blowing up my phone now 😒

Go search YT for eagle snagging big animals, they are not all fake AI. Everything is now "fake" when someone doesn't believe it without further research, lol.
Bald Eagle can carry 1.5 to 3.15 kilograms (3.3 to 6.9 pounds). An immature bald eagle can't take off clutching much of anything.

It was obviously hungry. Couldn't get at any chickens, no rabbits left...........

Another irony is I'm doing major battle with rats right now. Ugg.

That's probably taking off from the ground after capture and maintaining level flight. The video with the pretty large baby goat was snagged on the side of the mountain which helped the Eagle get airborne and glide with a larger payload like a hang guilder launches off a mountain. Other longer videos of that snag shows the Eagle gliding down to the bottom of the mountain with the prey - LINK

Glad someone was close by to rescue, as an Eagle will battle like crazy on the ground with prey.

There are much larger birds of prey than bald eagles so yeah

That bird way stupid and hungry but I think it realized the size of the dog. But yeah people wonder what happened to 10# Fifi.

Patched the dog up.

Dog is 50 pounds

Teen eagle stupid they are. Basic physics. Cannot snatch a 50 # dog.
Wow. Adult ones....Maybe not so much? The older ones can get scary huge.
(Sorry for Another Boomer good olde days tale!) Probably why they have "delete" / "ignore" / "block" options for ramblers like me.

When still working.... I would spend lots of days behind the levees on the Mississippi river. Working on the plant site's main river pumps. There is a really large patch of woods that runs parallel between the river and the levee system for miles.
Many times we would be out there working and see a pair of great big Eagles that would get mighty interested in us. There was plenty of wild game in those woods for them to feed on. Matter of fact, in my early years doing shift work, I would knock of at sunrise and go hunting in there for either squirrels, rabbits, doves or woodcock.

Those Eagles would soar and float all around over us for long periods of time as we worked. We always made sure to keep a close eye on those giants. Why call them giants?
Well , because one morning as we drove up to the pumping station, we could not figure out "who is that up there standing by the fence...?" Closer we got we all became speechless. What we thought was a person in the thick fog, ended up being a great big Eagle eating on a racoon it apparently had killed. This thing was so big I know I never would want to get close to one of them. It actually looked like a short human from a distance. I wish back then we had the cell phones like today because I sure would like to have a photo of that bird standing there.

The Eagles I see around my area are the very large ones with the full white heads. Really majestic looking creatures. It was strange how they just started being seen all over around here since the late 1990s. Not any seen before. Some folks say they were in big trouble and in real danger of extinction at one time due to pesticides that were eventually made a banned substance all across the USA. Makes sense I suppose.
