What are you doing right now?

I'm doing workplace safety training...in this case, Bullying and Harassment, etc....it is horrible, AI-generated slop. It won't let me go at 2x speed and I have to just sit through it.

This is common sense stuff - you could just ignore it and then ace the test at the end.
Before I retired I used to have to do all of those safety training videos/tests every year for 14 years. After the first couple of years I started fast forwarding through the videos and just doing the tests at the end. I would always get 90 or 100% 😃

The only one I enjoyed….wait you are a mod….sorry carry on

I’m sitting in the waiting room for my dentist appointment, it took me 75 minutes to get here, hopefully the drive home afterwards will be better 😵‍💫 The traffic in Mississauga is horrible, I’m glad I moved out of here in 2012. It doesn’t help that there are stoplights every 500 feet 🤦‍♂️
Sounds like Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Motorcycle riding there is miserable. I think most of the speed limits are 35mph on top of it. A few 40mph, but those are only on Hwy 98 and 2 other main “thoroughfares”.

I’m preparing to go into shoulder surgery for the second time, this time for my right shoulder. I’m a little scared/apprehensive of the pain. The giant needle they ultrasound guide into your neck is spooky, wasn’t horrible, but definitely uncomfortable. Whatever IV medication they inject to begin the “go to sleep” process burned pretty bad going in last time and it hardened and tenderized the vein it traveled through for several weeks. I’m not making the same mistake I did last time I listened to the anesthesiologist and foregoing the heavy duty pain meds the hours after the surgery…most agonizing pain I’ve ever been in by a long shot. I processed all the anesthesia and nerve block within 4 hours. I’d never uncontrollably sobbed from pain/agony until that moment. Already have the meds in hand and will take them asap when I get home.

It’s all worth it 2 months later when I have full use of my arm again for the first time in over a decade.

I used to watch them at home. Work computer with that on, home computer doing something else.

You beat cancer...this is just a pebble in the road....

Trying to convince myself to go work on the CRV, it needs the valve adjustment redone, but preferably right this time. It's a clattery mess at the moment. Son says last tank of gas was 18mpg? seems low, but I think it's just that time of year (tried to convince him to calculate what it was when warmer, something tells me I might as well do that).

I just got back from taking the Corvette for a drive, I haven’t been able to drive in since Nov 22! Winter came here early this year and the roads have been crappy but we finally got some warm weather and rain to clean things up. So I drove for over an hour and then took it to the coin wash to clean off the dust. Hopefully I will get another opportunity to drive it soon (it won’t be this weekend, we’re in for freezing rain followed by 6-8cm of snow) 😥

I didn't think you got freezing rain that far north. I moved to Missouri from South Dakota where I was raised, and I'd never even heard of freezing rain until I moved here. And I hate the stuff with a PASSION.

We get quite a bit of freezing rain up here actually, we had some briefly on Tuesday and a couple of weeks ago we had an all day freezing rain event (that’s the worst because it keeps building up thicker and thicker) 🫣 It’s the scariest weather, especially if it happens at night. I refuse to drive in it if possible 😳

Ran the valves on the CRV and am closer this time. Still a bit noisy but way better. Maybe I'll try that again next week, getting real good at taking the valve cover off, sheesh.

Son was concerned about mpg so I entered all fillups into Excel. 24mpg over the 40k we've had it. Not great but since it was free and for the kids, no complaints.

Recovering from shoulder surgery. Damage was significantly more widespread and severe than they anticipated. Was supposed to be a 45 min surgery and took 2.5 hours. Many rotator cuff muscles torn, shoulder was dislocated, labrum tear, 1.25” sub-acromial spur, AC joint repair.

Good news is, my anesthesiologist did an absolutely stellar job. Bad news is, unlike last time when I started PT 2 days later, I’m not to even begin PT for a month. This recovery is going to be long and brutal.

Showed the wife a P2 Volvo XC70 that I wanted to go look at. "But you're more of a Volkswagen guy". :( She's right, for a long time, nothing but manual transmissions for me.

Back to watching Derek (from VGG) working with Freiburger work on a '29 Ford.

Doing DoorDash. Had this lady scream at me because when I arrived at the store it was closed and she needed diapers and then began insulting me so I reported her to DoorDash. First bad customer. She should have been happy because she got her food just not the diapers. I understand diapers are important but it’s not my fault the Dollar General in the middle of the hood began closing earlier.
