Just paid my property taxes $12.555

My VISA charge was declined because they thought it was a fraudulent charge. Most of my purchases are under $100 unless I’m buying new tires.

I had to call the credit union and explain it was a legitimate charge….. never mail a check to the county.

I don’t get the mail a check comment?

Just unloaded a washer and dryer from my uncles truck. They surprised us and showed up unexpectedly. Good thing we were home but now we don’t have anywhere to put them except outside till we clean the basement and get the old ones out. They were supposed to deliver it next week lol. So looks like it’s not going to be a peaceful day lol.

I worked with my father for 13 years
We worked together and the rest of the crew wanted nothing to do with us because we worked hard. My father was 30 years my senior and did the worst jobs so his crew wouldn't complain... he owned the business. He was a pleasure to work with..

He's been gone 10 years today.... 11/7/15

One of the reasons I like living in a one bedroom condo is because everything is so much cheaper than living in a house. My property taxes in my last house (2800 sq foot detached) were about $9,000 a year. My condo is only $1800 a year (and my electricity bills are cheap too, last month was $58) Although I very much miss having a garage (and driveway for changing oil!) and I miss having a lawn to obsess about

I track all my checks via certified mail as they can just toss them in the trash and 6 months later nail you and if not cashed or no tracking they win... they did that to me once..

Not saying anything is perfect, but paying online with CC is not secure either if you are that worried, plus an extra few hundred dollar fee?

Nope. Been mailing a check for almost 50 years. No issues.

I get it. Somehow if check not clearing I'm contacting them.

I mean I don't think it's instant lien and fine, etc right away.
