Lots of times when some of my buds check in with me. They are getting funny with the questions.
Stuff like: "Can you get out today or did the train run over you last night? Or "Did that train that runs over you back up and hit you again?"

Finally had a good/great day. I was able to leave home and join some of the guys for lunch and some running around to a Academy Sports and the Guitar shop.
One of them has been able to play anything by ear since we were teens. I forgot how good he is. Scratch that .... an amazing player.
He blew me away playing some electric and acoustic. Any song you mentioned to him he just started ripping on.
Pink Floyd , The Animals , Heart , Bad Company , Led Zeppelin , ELP's Greg Lake , YES , Deep Purple etc..... to even some country music.
He could have probably made a living in music if he was not one of the type with stage fright. He can play his tail off but only in front of people he knows. He tried bands years ago and could not handle it. Anyway. One of the best days I have had in a long time that was not with the grandkids. Those grandkid days are hard to beat though.
 
Got some Chinese food and going home to finish watching the Boston Red Sox @ New York Yankees game. Go Red Sox can’t stand the Yankees. I’m sad my Padres got eliminated but it’s not the end of the world I still got the Brewers and heck I even like the Tigers, Blue Jays and Mariners too. Used to be I would never root for any AL team unless I didn’t like the NL team since I hate DH positions but now that all teams have a DH I will root for them as much as I hate the universal DH rule.

My coworker texted me just now saying he lost $400 from the Tigers winning today because he predicted Guardians then lost another $300 on the Cubs winning because he betted on the Padres. All I can say is I think that’s pure stupidity to bet on sports but not my money so I don’t worry about it. He said if the Yankees win tonight he will win the money back though because that’s how much he bet on them winning is $700.

I heard some talk on my local radio today with a professional gambler guest on the show. He said he has information that of all this new gambling all over the internet and the sports books etc.... that only a mere 2% to 5% of the bettors actually walk away winners. Shocking but I can kind of tend to believe it , coming from a so called pro.

I got a small bureau ready for the Vets for tomorrow and pulled out the drawers to make it easy to carry and found a folded priority mailer at the bottom and it had $350.00 and two cc expired in 2016...I had no clue .

That wasn't a great set of years here but glad I didn't toss it as I thought it was trash.
 
I was about to sell some tickets for a show back to Ticketmaster. I decided not to once they wanted my social security number.
No way. I will just end up keeping and using them after all. Too many security breeches too often these days. I know they may need it but I rather not put that number out there if/when not totally needed. Thing is they probably got criminals all over who know how to get our numbers already.

There have been so many security breaches that half the population or more has compromised SSNs. Freeze your credit reports and monitor activity is about all you can do.

Why would Ticketmaster need a SSN anyway ... seems strange to me. How do they match up a SSN given to them with the person, unless they have dark web breech data. 😄

Express UPS with signature and insurance and before I ship i take a picture of the label with the contents clearly shown and I hand it off at the depot where they text me acceptance.

Don't ask me why...lol
 
I am packing for my month long stay in Niagara on the Lake with my dog! Now instead of being 80 miles away from Niagara Falls for my tours, I will only be 15 miles away 😊 No need to wake up at 5:30 if I have a 10am tour 😎 And NOTL is amazing at this time of year with the leaves changing colors. And my favorite road leads into town from Niagara Falls as well, the Niagara River Parkway. When Winston Churchill visited in 1943 he declared that road to be “the prettiest Sunday afternoon drive in the world”! 🤩
