What are you doing right now?

Watching the Cincinnati Reds @ San Diego Padres game. Go Padres. Dad is a Reds fan so we are rivals tonight lol.

You boys will never believe this but I found two sticks of deodorant on sale at Kroger but…. I didn’t buy them because I have enough deodorant and honestly not too keen on the Old Spice Oasis scent either.

First day back at work after three days off that were spent fencing. Come home to find my wife and the employees crushed a bunch more. I snagged some T6 0w40 and Fram Ultra filters to do the quad and Wolverine x2 oil changes one of these days.

Swapped a scope on a rifle for a friend, cooked some pork cutlets and chicken breast on the Traeger. Was really good!

Booked some days off at the end of the week to do some more fencing before I have to ship off up north for work.

Just broke up a dog fight between my corgi and my brothers dog. It was a whole lot of snarling and barking and not much biting, thank goodness. My brother's dog looks like a three fifths sized Irish Wolfhound and is the sweetest thing, if somewhat timid. My dog was excited and carrying on when we got home from the river fishing and that freaked the other one out which I think set everything off. The bigger dog had the corgi by the collar, thankfully, so only slobber was exchanged.

I have had an interesting last several hours.

We are visiting my brother's family in Western Montana and about 2:30 AM my sister in law woke up with half of her face and neck quite swollen and difficulty swallowing. My brother managed to scrounge up some Benadryl tablets and they elected to jump in the car and go to the hospital instead of waiting for an ambulance that might take a half hour to get there. It was a 40 minute drive to the nearest ER over the state line into Idaho, dodging a couple of deer on the way.

At the ER she's had more Benadryl, some Pepcid AC, a steroid injection and a CAT scan, and nothing seems to indicate it was anything other than an allergic reaction.

I was just outside inspecting the body shop’s work on the Civic a little more closely in the bright morning sun (which is always the best time to see the true condition of the paint). I’m very happy with their work, there are a few spots down low where there is overspray but my son says that he can get that out for me with some wet sanding and a quick buff. The level of orange peel is obviously going to be noticeable compared to the factory finish but it is a very reasonable amount and is better than some of the other paint jobs I’ve had done on other cars in the past. I don’t see any major dust spots in the paint either so that’s fantastic. Now hopefully a bird doesn’t poop on it. I picked a good parking spot at my building that is away from the trees.

Gonna attempt to get paint overspray off the car after I touched it up and clear coated it a few weeks ago. Drinkin coffee right now, then some breakfast. Thyroid out of whack again, so energy levels are low. Waiting on pills to kick in. Been a few days of higher dosing. Feel a bit better. We'll see. Started falling apart around 52 yrs old. Don't get old all you youngins out in BITOG land. IT SUX

The only thing different that she ate was some Almond Roca candy. The doc wants her to avoid ingredients in that and schedule for allergy testing in several weeks when she is symptom free.
Almonds usually are the least triggering but nut allergies are just one of the allergies that develop as we age.

I gained a slight allergy to pecans and more severe with cashews.
