What are you doing right now?

It sounds like you have not picked the right career. I recently did a “foodie tour” in Niagara on the Lake with a group of grade 10 students and they had the opportunity to talk to the owners of the businesses that we were visiting. One common piece of advice that the owners were giving were for these students to find a career that they were passionate about. It’s great advice for anyone who is in the workforce
I love my career. I just say I’m ready to retire when it’s been a long day. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else for a living.

Hopefully not that long haha. Plan to retire by 55 maybe 60 at the latest. I’d like to right now but unfortunately not possible.

The BEST and EASIEST thing you can do to achieve that is get a job with a pension like with a township, city, state, public school system or university. They have police cars.... that need mechanics. Start looking and keep looking for those jobs and DON'T tell anyone your plan. We've had people call in and say dumb crap like "Joe Smith is a worthless mechanic and calls in sick a lot don't hire him".

If I was 55 and retired today I'd make $4800 a month on the UPS IBT pension. With no overtime I average $7824 a month.
Even with a decent pension it's less than I'd earn working, but I'll eventually get social security.

I just drove 90 minutes to get to my dentist for an appointment. I had forgotten how bad the traffic in my old area of Mississauga was. It has a stoplight every 500 feet and each one is always red for at least a minute 🤔

Rounding up jeans and dress pants to go to the Vets....over 30 pairs so far and some softball shorts as new. Not crap just cleaning the place out... Many shirts too...

I found a good bit of old cash in the pockets too...

They come to the door to pick up and they say clothes are needed..

Watching Mike Tobin
It's been years but he is a brave guy.
No doubt there but I saw him today and he looks like Frankenstein these days.. 😳😲
