What are you doing right now?

We had breakfast this morning and she looked right into my eyes and said ... Jim I'm not getting what I want from this relationship. It's not you but me. I have moved on. ( I remember hearing that before)

I asked why and who.... she said he's younger and prefers traditional keys over push button starts. Goes out for sodas and gets angry if he doesn't get Chinese food on-time.

He collects DVDs and junk like that.
He is a man's man when his mommy isn't taking care of him..

So Jim it's over. I wish I could say I wish you well but I can't. I need a real man in my life. Kiss off loser.

If you start putting away $100 a month into a safe investment and continue investing for the rest of your working life you will be able to comfortably retire early in your 50s.
I'd say not even close to comfortable, let alone retirement in general with only $100 per month. What are you assuming for rate of return? 35 years investing $100 monthly at an APY of 3% (you said "safe") is less than $75K.

I have a little over $7,000 in my retirement right now. Goal is to retire by 55. I was putting 7% of my check in but raised it to 8% recently. And been trying to save $100 or more from each paycheck too.

My math was off on my previous post but you are already on a great path if you have been putting away that much! I retired two years ago at age 53 and now I’m working part time as a tour guide in Niagara Falls and life is good! 😎

Watching Asteroid City… it’s different. Alot of big names in the cast. I’m working our way through the A’s at the library’s bluray section. Almost to the B’s. Watched some good movies never heard of!

"Landman"season 1 on Paramount+. Same producer as "1923" (also on Paramount+). Been watching the 2nd season of 1923 too. Both are well done stories.

I just got up a bit ago. I want to go to Rural King and hopefully we get to grill today too I’d love to grill up some steaks and drink beer. If the wind holds off.
