Trying to decide if I want to run to the hardware store and get a new ... something for the sink, a strainer, basket, whatever. It's leaking and needs replacement. Thing is, there's an inch of snow on the roads, or more, so it's not a great day to travel if I don't need to (and we have a double sink, so we can get by--but now is a great time to fix it, life gets busy during the week).

Have to run out and pick up the son from work at 6, then come home to a nice turkey dinner. Probably more snow shoveling after dinner. But it's something of a quiet weekend otherwise.

In the long ago social days people introduced other people. It was common place. When I was your age I worked construction and the homeowners tried to fix me up with their daughters.

That went away decades ago. I have fixed up many young couples as they didn't have the nerve to ask.

That's where church and other institutions should come in....
 
I remember those old days @Zee09 lol, the late 90s, early 2000s. We would network, meet up with friends, talk, introduce new friends and just flat out meet people. That's how I met my now wife. If I had to meet someone online, I'd die single. I can't even bank online.

On another note, it's cold here today but not kick you in the face cold, so the kids are riding horses, my wife is doing paperwork and after making beef jerky, it's sledding time! Next to no wind and bright sun, not bad at all. Even saw moose tracks.

Worrying. Little Brother must have sent a group text. Guess Dad has influenza A, plus fell and broke his neck.
Had a pic of him in the hospital with a neck support. He will be 97 in June. Daughter and I talked. Brother has not
returned my call yet.

Worried too about Daughter and Hubby. They leave Friday for a vacation in Mexico. Not ideal timing in my mind.
 
Today is day three of me staying inside the house and not going anywhere because of the snowstorm we had. I’m going a little bit stir crazy without human interaction. I have begun having deep conversations with my dog 😆
