What are you doing right now?

Took another burn around the block with my 14 year old. It's quite nice just hopping on the sleds at the house, hit the trails and park right back at home. No hauling, no delays, nothing.

I'm fabricating a 2 mm pencil lead breaker so that I can use standard 2 mm graphite and color refills in my 8-slot multi pencil lead holder. Standard 2mm refills are 130mm and the pencil lead breaker allows me to snap them into the two 62 mm refills. The stub goes into my graphite waste bin to be ground up. I mix graphite with epoxy and other resins for various applications.

Lol. My coworker goes crazy over Crocs. So does mom. I will wear them with socks but I hate them otherwise lol. Those are city boy shoes lol 😂. I do love me some Converse Chuck Taylor’s though especially in blue.
Your facial hair goes well with Cheetah sneakers or sandals.

Trying to figure out a power source for an Arduino project, off a 16Vac doorbell transformer--I could wire a 120Vac outlet next to the breaker panel (not sure why it doesn't have one) but since this is to add more chimes to the doorbell system, why not use its supply? I thought I had some step down supplies but am not finding them for some reason (probably because my idea of storing stuff is "pile in a box and hope I'll remember which one").

Here's the 2 mm pencil lead breaker I made earlier. It's the stubby brown implement with the metal clip. I made it for the multi-pen that uses shorter than normal lengths of pencil lead. At the bottom is a standard 2 mm refill. Above is the length lead I need for the multi pen shown at the top.

The overly long piece of led is inserted into the brass tube in the lead breaker and snapped off.

The lead can be sharpened in the 2mm sharpener that I inserted into the tail of the lead breaker.

The sharpener is friction fit and is replaceable.

I made the pencil lead breaker out of a piece of wood dowel. I drilled out the center from end to end and inserted a brass tube with an ID of 2.5 mm. I drilled out the tail end with a larger drill bit to fit the 2 mm lead sharpener.

I put the dowel in my cordless drill and used it like lathe to cut a wide groove for the pocket clip. so it wouldn't slide off. I stained the wood and sealed with a satin urethane.

A 30-minute project.

We are tearing the house apart looking for a gift card that I need for the secret Santa at work tomorrow. Might have to go get another one. Mom moved it and doesn’t remember where she put it.

I suggest you give those fuzzy slippers you got for your mom to your coworker instead. Your mom can keep and use the gift card if she finds it. I feel now like Alexander the Great cutting the Gordian Knot. Everybody is happy. Well, maybe not the coworker but he'll get over the screaming pink color when his feet are toasty.

Lol. Not sure she can use a ***** Sporting Goods gift card. I actually got mom a very expensive set of pots and pans which hopefully she can put to good use. I’m not a son who gives bad gifts lol 😂.

Haven't you been looking for a girlfriend for a little while? Maybe let it be know what great utilitarian and not at all self-serving gifts you give to the women in your life. Pots, pans, a potato peeler, sewing kits, brooms and dusters, a fancy toilet brush! I bet you will have to fend the ladies off with a stick en masse!

A think she can use the *** **** Sporting Goods card. They got hardwood bats there, you know.
