What are you doing right now?

If that was a real fight I think the outcome would’ve been different. Jake could’ve knocked Tyson flat out but he clearly was going easy on him. They are good friends so there is no way Jake was going to take down his idol like that. It was clearly all for show and given the terrible streaming situation that night a lot of viewers didn’t even get to see the fight. A total disgrace on every level 🙄
Yeah, more of an "expedition fight" as Tyson isn't an active boxer trying to claim or hang on to any current world title. Only way Tyson would have won was with a lucky knock-out punch. You could tell he was just aggressive enough to try and land a knock-out punch. He got stung pretty good by Paul in the first couple rounds. At least I got to watch it without a "pay for view". The pro women fight before Tyson and Paul was a real fight.

I’m online trying to figure out a place near me that sells a good selection of Reebok shoes. Nobody around here seems to have more than 10 pairs of them I like Reebok and Converse for shoes. My Converse are fine for now but my pair of Puma and Nike have worn out. I try not to buy Nike anymore if I can help it. If I can’t find the Reebok I want locally I’ll probably find New Balance or something. I wish they still made Reebok ZigTech shoes like the old days I loved those shoes as a kid.

Just finished a vicious night of high risk bingo. I won twice, BINGO!

Our table hauled in 2 poinsettias, a turkey, roast ham, bottle of wine, and a Christmas cactus.

Bingo.webp

Contemplating how to burn off remaining vacation time. I wonder if I schedule it so that all the days I'm required to be in office I'm OOO instead--if that might signal something... that actually would not use up all my vacation days (it looks like I could just take the rest of the year off).

I wish I could find a pair of shoes that lasted longer than 2 months without wearing out! 🫤
I do a lot of walking (some days over 20,000 steps) and I have a problem with the inside of the shoe getting all chewed up. I can throw insoles in them for a little bit but eventually they start getting chewed up too. Does anyone make a super durable shoe? I have recently tried Puma and Under Armor with no luck.

I’m honestly not sure on durable shoes. I know the Sketchers that my dad buys hold up pretty well. He has had one pair for 8 years. He likes the suede shoes pretty heavy duty and durable he works in them every day. I wear out every shoe I own because I walk on the inside edge of my shoes.

Maybe go to a store that specializes in orthopedic shoes? That kind of thing has really helped my brother with his weird ankles and knees.

You are overpronating.

I've been baking since early evening. About to finish at 0100. The loaves need to rest at least at least a week so all the flavors and booze permeate everything thoroughly. They'll be ready for consumption by Thanksgiving. I made a total of 9 pounds worth of Christmas loaves for the inner circle of the family. Last year I made 6 pounds and I got complaints that they ran out too quickly.

I just watched the 10-minute OTOY short 765874: Unification by OTOY. Shatner was talking about this project vaguely a few years ago, when he said he was working on a project that used incredible technology to make this even possible. This short was released yesterday. William Shatner is 93 years old and had a recent bout with stage 4 melanoma.

The short is dedicated to L. Nimoy, with W. Shatner, Sam Witwer (body double for young Shatner), Lawrence Selleck (body double for Nimoy), Robin Curtis (Saavik from ST3), Gary Lockwood (Gary Mitchel TOS S1 E3).

This match was similar to a WWE match at Wrestlemania.

There's a video which I cant find now which details how the fight was rigged.

At one point Tyson was going after Jake pretty hard, they grappled, Jake must have told him to calm down, Mike acknowledges with a tap to his back. Tyson then holds his punches back by biting his gloves like 90% of the time. The man had to slow down and bite his gloves to fight his natural urges to kill Jake. There were multiple openings and opportunities for Tyson to take shots. I think the was 96 - 94 so Tyson was close and could have easily won had he not held back.

It was fun to see regardless, but I was really hoping to see Iron Mike in his glory kick some butt. $20MM is a great payday for a few minutes even if it means throwing a fight. Mike's cannabis business is worth $160MM and he makes tons from various endorsements. Some ranch he owns also generates $1MM a month supposedly. He's doing good. 🥊🥊

I’m eating at Golden Corral. Also one of my aunts called today said she wants to have Thanksgiving for dads side the Friday after Thanksgiving which is going to be a problem because it’s about a 3.5 hour drive and I have to work that day. They let me have off last year and they didn’t want to pay me for the holiday but they did because that is company policy that you don’t get paid if you take off the day before or after a holiday so they probably won’t give it to me this year but family is more important than money so I’ll probably see if I can skip that day. We are never busy I don’t understand the point of even being open that day even if we don’t get paid the day after it’s still part of the holiday. We usually do about 10 cars that day and nothing big it’s always just oil changes. And some of us want to go Black Friday shopping too. I’m going to clean out the movie section at Walmart lol.

Watching the lights flicker, fences fall and the Puget Sound Energy outage map carnage - only shows the PSE map, not any of the other power company outages listed below. Red zones are areas of no power. Bomb Cyclone!
