My wife and 14 year old are at an Equestrian jumping show. Myself and my 15 year old are in southern Alberta heading to a family wedding. My 15 year old had driven most of the way. So far so good!

Setting at Walmart watching YouTube. Getting the Focus tires rebalanced. I would of tried the bubble balancer but think theres a bad one.
Getting ready for rare pickleball games on Saturday. Wife is a bit under the weather and I am totally bored with home duties, and surfing BITOG. I can only harass buster so much...hehehehhehee

We are riding around North Carolina. Dad made us late to the drag race so we didn’t even go because it was over half over when we got there. Not to happy about that. But we are looking for somewhere to eat. I want to get fast food and head back so I’m back in time for the game but of course dad wants to sit down in a restaurant and eat. Something I can’t stand especially when traveling. I guess as long as I don’t pay for it though it’s fine. Since he made me miss the race I left him with the gas bill that I agreed to pay lol.
"Fiona Wang" whom I've not met, nor played with was a no show after scheduling and committing. We did some 3 player drills and then a walk-on came and played a bit until his group showed, suddenly a gal from another court took mercy on us and texted her husband to get off the couch and play.............we three were thinking either this guy will be a fat slouch or a real banger. Turns out he was a fun player with good skills and super nice guy. We had a hoot Fiona!!
Of course she sent a series of messages later "couldn't make it, something came up" to "I thought it was at 2PM". Listen if you can't make it, fine, just let the group know so we can get a 4th. Kinda rude to the the 3.

I like Cracker Barrel when we are on road trips. They got enough on the menu so anyone can find something. I like how efficient they are and do not leave you waiting too long even if crowded.

That’s my dad’s favorite place. I’ve eaten there so much in my lifetime that I never want to eat there again lol. Ever since they got taken over I’ve noticed the food has went down hill.
15 is allowed for driving? By me it's 16 for permit then all the classes and gov't "contributions" for other approvals. Many restrictions like no passengers, no night, only school/work etc. If you take the extra classes you can get regular senior license at 17.
My son probably had 3k miles driving on his permit (with us) before he went to drivers ed class. His 2x month trips for allergy immunotherapy was 150 miles each way. We made him drive for practice in dry, rain, snow.
While the pictures do no justice, the foothills of the rockies are quite nice.

I have always enjoyed Cracker Barrel. I've rarely eaten there since Covid though. The things I order don't seem changed though.

Yeah they got taken over by Darden Restaurants a few years back. They can’t seem to cook anything right anymore and their food quality has just went downhill. I miss the old sausage they had. New stuff not as good.
My union is on strike so I'm not doing much of anything except trying to find things to keep busy. Not a big fan of unions but at this point in my career, and after 30 years with the union.....I don't see myself crossing the picket line.
Beautiful place. Any decent trout in that stream?

Driving back from North Carolina. Hopefully can relax tomorrow. Need to research some savings account stuff and all of that. Once I get my mom fully paid back I’m going to start putting around $300 a paycheck in my account. That’s an amount that would add up quickly. Along with any extra money I get for things and all of that. Just got to keep saving and keep saving. I am also trying to cut back my spending on soda. I also have a bunch of change I need to turn in but don’t have a bank with a coin machine anymore.
Like eggrolls and wontons?Eating at Red Robin. I really don’t like burgers but as long as I’m not paying for it I don’t care lol. I cut out all the buying Chinese everyday crap. Hopefully they will cook it right if not it’s going back. I’m mad I had to miss the game to sit down in a restaurant but I don’t want to blow $50 on Chinese food for just me.
And edit: burger went back. Made completely wrong. Onionsare a no go here for me. Especially when touching the burger and the pickles. Complete remake is in the works. The table next to us complained about something too and there went back too.
