What are you doing right now?

For those who consider it an accomplishment to lower A1C by 0.1 from one test to the next what was your original A1C and what was the next test? What did you eat / not eat? What medication(s)? Congrats on the good results. Not sure what Devil Dogs are but sounds like possibly counter-productive.
I typed it out and will send you the info by PM...
I have more info if it will help you. Thanks...

I want a girlfriend badly and kids. Hopefully they will be into the same things when I get all of those things lol. I’m easy on requirements though the only thing I absolutely require is they have to have an iPhone if they don’t it’s kind of a turn off lol. I can work around other stuff but no iPhone means I’m not into them. Don’t know why but chicks with Androids never seem to be my type and their phone choice indicates they need help making decisions lol 😂.

You have a great sense of humor which women find very attractive. I know you're joking about the Android thing.

I'm going to be real so don't feel bad about it.

One thing that will only get worse as you get older is living at home with your parents. A woman wants a guy that has the ability to provide for her. Living at home makes her think you can't provide for her and is a big turn off. Take advantage of building your bank account while living at home and cut out the unnecessary spending habit if you have one.

Take a hard look at yourself now while you're young. Is your employeer playing you or are you going to advance and make real coin at that dealer in which you can get your own place and provide for your wife when she can't make an income when taking care of 7 month old Blake jr?

I started out of high school at a Honda dealer. I didn't see a future in it. The only techs making a good living were the guys that got all the non warranty work. I quit and went to Nashville Auto Diesel College, which in now Lincoln Tech Nashville. That landed me a real job in Tampa, had my own apartment and life was great. I used that work experience to get an even better job when I moved back to Ohio.

I would highly consider going into the diesel field since you have a little experience working on your dads semi.
Diesel opens up job opurtunities with high wage employers and real benefits you'll never get at the dealer level.

I've never had a hard time getting girls only because I'm tall. But I made a few poor choices in the girls I've been with.

If your mom or dad can help find a girl for you, why not, but insist you see a pic of her first. My wife is the daughter of my mom's college dorm mate.

How often is Auto Mechanic introducing himself to women when he is at the local Piggly Wiggly grocery store ?

Auto Zone ?
Gas station ?
Church ?
Gym ?

Working in a career field with lots of women helps somewhat….

I agree with you that it will be a BIG red flag if he is 25 and still living at home with parents.

He's going to have to quit spending his money as fast or faster than he gets it and he's going to have to get rid of all the clunkers sitting around growing rust and weeds but never being touched. And if he wants an A list girlfriend he's going to have to read more than baseball articles to be able to discuss books and have conversations on more than RBI and ERA. Or settle for a D list girlfriend who won't care about having a junkyard on the lawn.

I picked up a few dates in Kroger. The best time to go as a single guy is after 8 PM. Younger people tend to be out later. The shoes you wear makes a big difference believe it or not. Wear new(ish) clean, name brand athletic shoes and women in their 20's will notice that.

The first thing women do is look at your shoes and the eyes move up from there .. gospel....

Just got back from my favorite tire shop after getting the wife's snow tires mounted on some new steelies I found on Offerup. Enrique set me up with 4 tires mounted and balanced with new stems for 100 bones.

Since it’s a slow day at work listening to the Texas Rangers @ Tampa Bay Rays ALWC game 1. Go both teams. When it’s teams I really don’t know I root for both just because I like the game of baseball in general. Will probably watch one of the other games tonight though. Really excited for all these under dog teams. NLWC is also tonight too as well as tomorrow and the next day if needed. It’s best of 3. Definitely go Brewers in the NLWC tonight.

Boarding a flight, about to take off.

I was complimented on my purse by the flight attendant.

That’s what I get for carrying my wife’s purse but she loads it up super heavy when we travel so I end up carrying it.

Super empty flight, almost every flight I take is packed to the brim.

Got a new phone and provider today. I could not get it activated. Never had an issue doing that as it's pretty simple.

I called in and neither could two service reps.. they said they never seen anything like it.
They are paying for the return.

It only took 20 minutes to transfer everything but that phone didn't even want to turn off...
They were great about it and upgrading my phone at the old price...nice

I dropped my A1C by more than 3 whole numbers in 6 months. I'm celebrating tonight with a box of Devil Dogs...
Jimmy knows how to roll
Just Diagnosed with Type 2 in the latter half of August...
went in for my annual checkup, they did a finger stick test for A1C...... it was a...tad high....
he comes back in the room, "Congratulations, you're Diabetic... your A1C is 12..."

prescribed me Farxiga, and scheduled a 3 month Follow up.
I'll be interested to see what my number is by then. almost as soon as the insurance approved the Farxiga, and I was able to take it, my readings went from around 250, to the very low one hundreds on average.
also, luckily for me, my insurance covers a program called Livongo, that provides a connected smart Meter, and unlimited test strips and lancets at no additional cost..

only problem i've had with the program, is the network their meter uses... it's got a T-Mobile Sim, and no wifi/bluetooth backup. T-Mobile service is ...spotty at best in my area...
