The original battery in my lowly LG Android lasted 5 years, then I bought a new one on Amazon for $12 and swapped it out in literally 1 minute. That's one thing I like about my phone, you can swap the battery in no time.

True. These new generation of iPhone now have a removable back to make it easier to repair. I’m happy about that. I think that and the USB-C are part of what Europe was requiring for new phones as of next year so Apple went ahead and did it. Glad they are starting to be friendly to the repair people again.

I have a 14. If doesn’t make it to 20 then I will consider it a ripoff and think on my choices then. It’s a kid thing, a sign of immaturity to burn for an instrument or device of any type.

Like a big gold eye tooth you say? But yes, you are correct. Hopefully they can grow up and mature beyond that point sooner rather than later.The cell phone is a status symbol for some, like a big gold metal around the neck.

Just set up my preorder so now just have to press a button on Friday at 8am. Have the reminder set in my phone too. Getting a Titanium Blue iPhone 15 Pro 256GB. As well as a USB-C to Lightning adapter. Might add some other odds and ins too. Was hoping they had the colored cables available already. Total will be about $1,129 with tax which is $53. Slow day at work today so lots of time to look at videos of the colors and everything I asked my coworkers which one they liked better natural or blue and majority said blue so blue goes. Case and screen protector and camera protector already on the way. All I have to do Friday is hit the order button as all my information is already entered. Paying it all up front. I’ve had lots of people on both forums say I don’t need it. I respect them but I am buying it. It’s worth every penny except the USB-C. I don’t see it as a status symbol I’ve just never had good luck with Android so I’m bias against them. There is an old guy at the shop who is buying the 15 as his first smartphone so he wants me to help him with it which I’m excited about.
IMO you can get the new phone feeling by just doing a fresh restore of iOS, especially when iOS 17 is supposed to introduce a bunch of new features.

Thinking what to text back to an EX GF from years ago. Haven’t heard from her in years and she texted me her Trailblazer needs towed to a shop and was told it needs a ball joint. And she can pay me back on payday. I might block her number and not text anything back.
