What are you doing right now?

Waiting on my folks to get up lol. Nice to have a day off today. Much needed. We are going to head out to breakfast and go to the hardware store for the 50% off sale. We will go to Home Depot sometime and return the Milwaukee weed eater and then go to dinner later for my parents anniversary. 30 years today. They are always nice and take me to their anniversary dinner because I’d have nothing to do if not haha. We might end up grilling which will be fine too. I love a steak on the grill.

Walking down to the curb because I see a gas powered weed eater sitting there. I take weed eaters apart for the nuts and bolts and scrap the body. It’s a bent shaft one so not really good but it’s still better than that Milwaukee lol. We are going to buy something else it might be a Stihl like this one is just with a straight shaft.

I'm herding my neighbor's kids at the county fair. A turkey leg is $25, a kebab is the same. Four egg rolls cost $12, a hotdog is $10. I may have to take out a loan.

Watching fireworks 💥. Also researching loans because I’m looking at getting one to purchase a vehicle which will be a 2002 Chevy Blazer. I feel I’d be better off getting a personal loan because most places won’t loan on something that old. Problem is no credit so they would have to give me a chance which my credit union might. Just the interest would be high. I’m glad I finally got my parents on board with letting me get something else and still keeping my other ones lol. My Escape is getting worn out 60 miles a day 5 days a week. Hit 195,000 last week. 30,000 in two years one year of driving it 60 miles daily. And my truck don’t have air and people don’t like it because it’s too slow taking off lol. So I need something to alternate back and fourth to work in and I found exactly what I want and have wanted for awhile. If I did get the Blazer I promised them I’d sell my other truck that doesn’t run so that’s a commitment I have to keep. Dad will probably be parting with his Camry as well and pulling Jeep out of the weeds putting a new engine in it and riding it. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized sometimes you just have to part ways with things. The main reason I haven’t spent too much on the other truck is because one I lost the keys but two it’s a rust bucket a lot more rusty than I thought. And we just don’t have space for 9 vehicles it’s hard enough with 8 lol. I never thought I’d be a Chevy boy but certain Chevy I do like lol. Plus the engine is bulletproof. So yeah that’s what I’m doing right now. I’m a nerd on Blazer and their equivalents like the Bravada and Jimmy. Normally I like older stuff but I don’t really like the squared off ones as much as this style I’m looking at.

I’m just sitting here excited and thinking about vacation lol. Next week is my vacation. I’m excited about going thru the long tunnels on Interstate 77. Big Walker Mountain tunnel is a shorter one and then East River Mountain Tunnel which connects Virginia and West Virginia it’s one of the two tunnels in the US that connects states. We go they these tunnels to visit my family in Tazewell Virginia and the Bluefield VA/WV area. I’ll try and get pictures of the tunnel entrances. I told my dad let’s go see the family and go thru the tunnels lol. We also will probably go to Mount Vernon and Monticello or at least one or the other. But I like going over to that part of the state where Interstate 77 runs thru because it’s a lot more country/rural like vs anywhere else lol. We don’t get to see that family over there that much because of the distance it’s at minimum a day trip so we are going to take a day or two out of vacation to go over there.

I’m eating lunch. Waiting for this afternoon so I can go on the Matco truck lol. Today has been slow even though we have been busy lol. Had a irate customer in the shop too cussing at everyone and stuff so that was interesting lol 😂.

We are going to the Chinese place and we are discussing whether or not we should buy the Blazer straight out or trade the Escape for it. I really don’t want to trade the Escape as I don’t like to part with vehicles but it’s getting up there in mileage. Also discussing loan options too because I have no credit, and I don’t expect my parents to get a loan for it though my mom said she would if I could not get one. I read that often credit unions will give you a loan over a bank and that most have a first time buyer loan. I am really trying to get my credit established and not let this opportunity pass me by I already missed two Tahoes so I’m not going to miss this low mileage Blazer that’s the same year I am lol 😂.

A loan in your name with a patent co-signing may help build some credit. But your mom getting the loan in just her name won't.
Oh cool I didn’t realize you could have a co-signer on a loan. Problem is though is we think if I get the loan in my name then I think the insurance has to be in my name too which is going to be outrageous just because of my age. Maybe having her as a co-signer could prevent me from having to get my own insurance. I just really hope all of this can work out so I can get this that I’ve been wanting for a long time. I sure do wish I had about $6,000 to buy it straight out. I also fear they won’t loan on something that old so I am also considering a personal loan.

Finished building a new shed for a friend of mine

Waiting on breakfast to be done and waiting on dad to get up so we can go get sodas at the gas station. I’m hungry lol and we are having one of my favorite things which is chipped beef gravy over toast. Yummy.

Just left an estate sale third day. Been going everyday lol. Got lots of tools there. Today was last day. Guy likes getting $2 bills lol. Enjoying my first day of vacation. We are going to head to Monticello in Charlottesville Virginia either later today or tomorrow and probably do some other things while we are up there. Then go to see family on Friday and Saturday.

Just moved a very heavy couch that my mom decided she wanted at the estate sale that’s the heaviest couch I’ve lifted. We all killed our backs. Mine is killing me now. My head is too. We are going to the gas station to get drinks and then head home. It sure does look different in the driveway with only one red truck now. Me and the 1990 departed ways to make room for the Blazer which hopefully I get as long as the loan goes thru and the guy my dad has known for a long time so he said if I don’t get approved he would hold the vehicle till I came up the with money. Which I think is great. I’d rather have the running clean Blazer over the rust bucket non running Mazda. Still didn’t have the keys but guy will go to junkyard to get.
