What are you doing right now?

The storm wasn't as bad as it was supposed to be. Again, by the grace of God, the worst moved more north west around us. We had some decent wind and a pile of rain but no hail and no real damage.

Today, ran to town, grabbed some pellets for the Traeger, oil filter for my lawn tractor and heavier line for the trimmer.

I ran the tiller through the garden to power weed it, filled the potatoes and then put in another row of carrots.

Now? Who knows.

I'm out in the sweat shop and my lathe is starting to make subtle noises .. its a 1995 model... guessing bearings as I refurbed the belts and fluids etc. I need a few more months out of it though.

Made breakfast for 4, watered the flowers. I went down to the marina to do a little maintenance. took boat out for an hour ride, filled up the gas tank. Now I'm back home in the AC because it is hot and humid out there. Having a light lunch and a cold ginger ale.

Checking the news to see the eggspurts say the price of regular will go back to $4 overnight. Really? They paid for the crude 2 to 3 months ago, no tomorrow. I debating if I want to go lay in the driveway and do a 140k miles spill & fill on the X3 transmission. It's 1k miles early, but that VRP ATF I bought keeps whispering in my ear. I hate dropping that plastic undershield and putting it back up.

I only had one walking tour today, the 1:00 one. I’m glad that nobody booked the 4:00 tour in a big storm is rolling through right now. I hope the birds in the area will be okay, when the rain stops I’m going to sit outside and try to find some new birds to my list on my bird finding app 🤓

This is my last night in the cottage this week and I won’t be able to stay here for the next two weeks because someone else booked it. So I’ll be back to driving 160 miles round trip per day instead of 16.

I’m at work. It’s been a busy day. Luckily will be over soon. Right now I’m working on a 2026 Toyota Sequoia Limited with 12,000 miles it’s a Bank of America repo that we got at auction so I’m doing all the used car stuff on it like an oil change and state inspection and getting it ready to go to detail and then the lot. The person took all the floor mats out I hate to see how much those cost lol.

Time to dust the roses, some kind of aphids eating the leaves.
