Lightening just blew out my modem. No internet!

Did you have it on a surge protector including the cable.... sucks

The cable is not on a surge protector as far as i can tell. Power surge protected but it blew out the small 12v transformer. Put another transformer on that i had. Modem lights up but lights not flashing and no signal. Waiting to talk to Armstrong but they are all backed up with problems

You can usually drive them to Rising Sun and get a new one... But I went non cable 5 years ago... T-MOBILE

It's an ok movie, but you can tell it didn't have a huge budget and the script was a little weak in places. It's a good movie to watch at home

If the surge burned out the transformer, it probably popped a few caps or burned a resister too. Belay that. @walterjay proved me wrong.

Watching European news. It surprised me that many of the EU countries put on red white and blue lighting displays on buildings in recognition of Independence Day as a precursor to their own becoming Democracies or Republics. The UK ambassador to the UN was explaining why the UK Flight Demo Team (like our Thunderbirds or BAs) are putting on shows in the US this Summer with Red, White, and Blue smoke streams to highlight our alliance.
France is our oldest ally in the world, so it's kind of funny that we always have little disagreements with them over stuff. When I was working FMS before I retired, the French Navy officers took part in our 4th cookouts and invited us to their Bastille Day parties. They were always saying how they loved the US as their best ally.

My sisters up near Frederick are texting the same. It looked like it might rain here, but nothing happened this far South.
Brother's power has been out since about 9pm Sat. and they say the downed poles won't be fixed until Monday night. He's in Glen Burnie. He complained he has to disconnect the AC from the genny to make coffee. LOL. I told him we grew up camping, where's his camp stove and percolator?
