We are eating at Olive Garden fake Italian restaurant as me and my dad call it lol. We have ate here like maybe 3 times in my life haha. I prefer Carrabbas for Italian chains.
I feel like your family eats out a lot. Too expensive for me to do with any consistency and I generally prefer homemade anyway.

Also I would have to drive 45 miles to get to Olive Garden anyway.

Just finished mowing. Cleaned under the cover and washed the foam air filter on the mower when I got finished mowing. Watching news with a PBR and wondering who proof reads the scrolling updates underneath the talking head. You've got people with journalism degrees who use words incorrectly and can't spell either. Guess us Boomers are just too picky when it comes to professionals being professionals.

I agree. And don’t get me wrong I love my parents but they are the biggest complainers of being broke and I’m like well if we didn’t eat out so much maybe it wouldn’t be so bad and could save a ton. I can’t tell them what to do with their money but I’d certainly be eating at home to save. Sometimes we eat out 2 or 3 times a day if it’s the weekend. It’s because mom’s version of cooking is heating something up in the microwave or air fryer otherwise she complains for days about having to cook something in the oven or on the stove three nights ago. I personally hate eating inside of restaurants honestly and would rather eat at home and if I’m going to a restaurant I’m getting it to go. I’m in the camp for making food at home over going to restaurants. I wanted so badly for my mom to show me how to cook and she won’t she just takes charge of everything and turns it into a disaster.

Take a cooking class. Maybe the local community college has them. I took Gourmet Foods as an elective in High School. The guys all laughed I was taking "Home Ec" until they realized I was one of two guys in a pretty much free-form class with 20 girls.
Just a hint if you want to learn to cook and want to meet girl people in a relaxed atmosphere.

Well, everyone has the world's biggest cookbook in their pocket now. If you want to cook something, there's 50 billion videos out there on how to make it. Cooking isn't hard. If someone can diagnose a bad alternator, they can follow a recipe.
