Well I’m chilling and I guess getting ready for bed since it’s officially my birthday here on the east coast. I was born at 10:15am so technically I’m not fully 23 yet but I look it and feel it lol.

Getting my head turned back on so I can do a couple hours of work--this morning got waylaid, due to somehow gasoline getting into the wife's washer fluid reservoir (zero idea how). The boss said it was fine to WFH, and it was a nice day, so... couple more hours off this afternoon. Just got in from picking up sticks in the yard (why are my toes so far away now?), did some dishes, time to get back to work. Bleh, when is it the weekend again?

My niece I rent my walkout basement apartment to starts an EMS program in July. She wants to get a state certification and be accepted at the Columbus fire training academy.

I just got back from a two hour drive in the Corvette, it’s the best weather we’ve had this year so far, sunny and 26C (79F) I can’t wait until this type of weather is happening every single day (we will have this kind of weather almost everyday from early June through to mid September)

I just drove down to my girlfriend’s place and saw a huge change in temperature! At my place it was 27C (81F) and after an 80km (50mi) drive it dropped to only 11C (52F) where she lives! It’s that crazy time of year here where it’s way warmer in areas far from Lake Ontario. One minute you can wear a t shirt and shorts and the next minute you need long pants and a jacket

When I was commuting to downtown Chicago it was always a dilemma how to dress at this time of year, especially for the commute home. Downtown it might be 50 degrees so a jacket was a good thing to have, and when I'd get off the train it would be 70, and I'd still be wearing the jacket, at least until I got to my car and could take it off.

At the calm before the storm. Have a busy weekend, kids in drill ride and my oldest running for rodeo queen. Lots of riding and presenting this weekend, along with 90 calves coming tomorrow for the first team penning event of the year.

So I got out, cleared my vole traps and shot a few gophers. I booked a couple days off early next week so I will snag some more gophers and call in some coyotes.

Also looking at local antique stores on the map my buddy is coming up Saturday from my work town to hang out since I didn’t really do anything for my birthday and he is taking me to all the antique stores I want to go to and then to the Chinese buffet.
