What are you doing right now?

Procrastinating on replacing the cam synchro in the Ranger. It's not that hard of a job, but Ford did their best to make it unpleasant on the Ranger. It's worn to the point the truck bucks/loses power if I hit a bump in the road though, so I need to do it. 🤣

Idly looking at used trucks… been six months since I got rid of mine, so the desire is coming back.

Wife is no help, she thinks I should fly south and get one. :(

It took too long, but the hooptie is now on cam synchro #4 and running like a brand new car.

Just left Walmart. Was really surprised they were open regular hours. All the other stores closed at 5 or 6 or 9 for some. The hard part was getting my parents out of there lol they want to look down every single isle. Going to the gas station now to get a drink and then prepare for the ball drop.

Just watched the ball drop and cheered with my parents with some sparkling apple cider. That stuff burnt going down lol. Was going to do egg nog but this seemed more appropriate. Now being the hungry teenager that I am, eating leftovers from dinner.

Had an uneventful new years, thank God. Wasn't working so had some family over and now counting down the hours until its warm outside. Have been in this deep freeze for weeks now. This morning it was -35c and supposed to jeep warming up to -5c by mid day tomorrow. We got all sorts of outdoor plans, including the kids horse back riding, work on the barn, snowmobiling and just not freezing in general.

The other day I failed to plug in my Trailblazer correctly. Well as simple as it was, -35, gloved hands and in the dark seemed to be the ticket. Barely got it to run the next day, thankfully I keep the batteries topped up so I managed to beat on it like a carbed junker to get it to fire.

Still laying in bed lol. Was up until 2:45 last night cleaning the basement. Today probably will do a brake pad replacement on moms car or at least grease it and see if that helps. Dad said we will get Napa pads for it most likely if we decide to replace.

With a brief reprieve in the cold I got some odds and ends done. Aired up vehicle tires, thawed out my quad and got my Ghost running.

Some neighbor kids came by with their sleds so I took each kid out of a ride. The snow wasn't deep but it was a nice powder and not treacherous. The old Ghost ran like a top. The new battery sure helped as the electric start worked like a charm and it absorbed the excess voltage to keep the lights from blowing.

Tomorrow she cools off and is supposed to snow. Will get the yard plowed and maybe put a few more miles on the sled.

Relaxing on the last day off from the holidays. I just bought new 7.5 ah batteries for the Ego 2- stage snow blower so I can use it for the next snow storm.

Spent most of yesterday pushing snow. Now today my wife and I have been fighting vehicle issues. Looks like frozen batteries on my Trailblazer and 3500. Got one in the house thawing with a charger and managed to get the 3500 going after a few hours with the block heater and battery tender.
