What are you doing right now?

Giving out treats, but not too many kids out this year. I just walked to the edge of my driveway and looked around, the streets look deserted.
We had the most trick or treaters this year than we have had in about 5 years. Was really surprised if we had kept giving out multiple pieces of candy we would of been out LOL.

Got all the cords put to power the water heaters in our water troughs. Getting-10c at nights lately so got to keep the horses watered.

Got some new tires for my quad and just need a fresh battery, some hub seals and she is good to go for plowing snow.

Watching the World Series still. Kinda hoping the Astros will win tonight so we will have a game 6 lol. And I’m also on the Snap-on website looking too see if Snap-on warranties screwdriver handles.

Listening to complete silence
My house corners two highways.
Cheap 😥gas forces people not to drive unless required. Sort of like the ammo shortage.. Neat huh ??

The other morning it was quite crisp out. Said hi to the neighbor at the end of my driveway.

Eating at the Chinese buffet and doing a double take on the price of shipping a Harbor Freight cart. $96 because of lift gate 😳. I don’t see why you can’t just order it and have them ship it to the store without having to go to the store to order it.

I have wanted to get a pellet grill for a long time but I figured that if I can't fire cook first, then maybe. Got this fire pit maybe 9 years ago when we bought this one house and buddy just gave me a decent stack of seasoned split would the other week. If it all fails I'm out nothing.

It went well. Some cast iron is coming next.

I would suggest watching on a PC or phone, but knowing AutoMechanic's views on an ignition key I bet he'll only watch TV on a 19" B&W Zenith.
I actually watched a movie last weekend so I had the TV on for that. Otherwise, I do pretty much everything on my iPad. In almost 8 years I think I've browsed BITOG on a computer once, maybe twice.

Should have gotten a tv for your room on Black Friday
I do have one. Unfortunately no cable though as Cox charges per box now and have for a few years unfortunately. And we don’t do those other things that are popular nowadays like Netflix or anything like that. I do have a laptop I can watch DVD on but I don’t have many shows on DVD unfortunately either.

Just sitting here reading this forum. Thinking I wish I had something to occupy my time today, as I am retired, the lawn work is all done, and the Covid keeps me pretty much home. Also the classic cars are put to bed till spring, the daily driver doesn't need anything, the Christmas decorations are all up as of yesterday---I am bored!
I get bored at times too. Wife went to sleep early tonight as she still works full time. I am currently watching a Tv Series, on DvDs a friend turned me onto called JUSTIFIED from I think? FOX Tv channel a few years back about a younger U.S. Marshal in the Appalachian are of the USA. So far pretty good.

I do occupy myself daily doing all the things in the house I can, cooking, cleaning, paying bills. etc... anything I can do to allow wife to come home after work and not face a bunch of house work.

How long retired? I can recall it took me quite a while to get used to it. I would look at the clock at 10:00am and think "I don't belong here, I should be out there on the job." I would look out on the street from my front door and the street was a ghost town. All at work, The clock would go so slow. After about 12 - 18 month I somehow got into a routine and finally accepted it and got kind of used to it. I have heard many say, once they accept and get used to it they have no trouble and the days zoom by. I guess that happens to us all as we get older. The hours / days / weeks /....... start to fly by.

I still have trouble accepting my age (2 months shy of 65) but reality hits when I realize how old my two grown sons are.... Both n their 40s, each with children. The one that blows my mind is that I have one of those grandkids, my sweet granddaughter, that is almost 10 years old. Life zooms by. If you are a person in your 30s / 40s , or even 20s and you have kids.... take full advantage and spend every minute you can with them and enjoy life and raising them. You will look back one day, then wow! .... those were the best years of your life. Do all you can with them,
