What a deep wet shine DG 101 leaves!!!!!

I just applied one decent coat of Duragloss 101 it left one heck of a deep shine. I will allow it to cure overnight. I would like to use a good carnuby wax until I can get some Collinite. Would Meg #26 be the only other wax outside of Collinite that I could top coat the DG 101 with? I have some extra BlackMagic liquid wax, would that add a deeper shine, or would I be better off using Meg 26 as a standby until my order of Collinite comes in?

Having used Zaino almost exclusivle for years I decided to try the DuraGlass products. They seem to duplicate the Zaino line so closely. The resslts to me seem the same and the DuroGloss is available locally without the higher price and shipping cost of Zaino,

Not sure you need a top coat

I would wait for the collinite,but would that remove the DG????

The Collinite would not remove the DG 101. I would also wait until it came in. There's no reason to just slap something on there, the 101 will be fine until the Collinite arrives. The worst you might have to do is wash the car again before the Collinite.

I'm just asking,,how do you know have you done this yet?

i got all three i'm going to try this weekend DG 101,111 then coll.

Collinite 476s or 845IW do not contain any cleaners nor does Meguires #26. They are pure waxes. I've never tried this (have always used one or the other of these waxes by itself) but Collinite with a topper of #26 may leave a brilliant gloss. Keep us informed as to how your end results come out.

What I meant was DG-then collinite-then #26 just as an experiment to see if the gloss was increased over just topping DG with only Collinite. Either way, with proper surface prep, I'm sure #26 or Collinite as a final wax (by itself) will look great. The Collinite, in my experience through use, will leave a more durable protectant on the surface than #26.

K, got ya, does that sound like a plan to you then,,DG 101 then
111 then top it with Coll?????

My preference would be 101 applied by machine, 105, then Collinite but the three you have will work just fine. Good microfiber towels are a must but I'm sure you realize that. Good luck, that will be a workout if all done by hand.

Apply and remove the Collinite by hand. It takes very little to do an entire panel. Use too much and it can be a real job removing it. Thin is in with all of the products you are using, more is not better.

Your choice. I find it easier to do the wax by hand with a foam applicator. You'll be able to reach areas that the buffer cannot.
