We're getting snow and..

I dunno, some people are just more obsessive about washing their cars. Spring is the most important time to wash all that salt off.

I won't wait till spring to wash the salt off my car. I don't care if it's 20 degrees out and the water freezes as soon as it hits the car.

I see people at the car wash all the time regardless of the weather.

I haven't washed the Explorer in months. In fact, it has only seen soap twice since I got it in September. The times when it did see soap, I was planning on selling it. Since I have decided to keep it, it has only seen high pressure water. It is a beater, so it doesn't have to look perfect even though the paint is decent. If we get salt on the roads, I will pressure wash it frequently. When they salt roads here, they dump piles and piles on the road.

Here, if you get a car wash and it snows/rains within 48 hours, you get a free wash within the next 30days.

2 car washes for one!

liquid salt is way worse on the car than flaky pasty white dry stuff. Save the pressure washing etc for the march day when you think it's all gone by.

Hey eljefino, I couldn't agree with you more. While washing the salt off your car may result in a pleasant feeling, I can't imagine that high pressure blasting of salt solution into the tiny cracks, crevices, seals, etc. of your vehicle is good.

I've been going to the quarter car wash for years and washing the salt off under the car/truck and have no rust to low rust when compairing my cars/trucks to others made in the same period.

And I drive 100 miles or more DAILY in the salt.

I think the $1 I spend a week is worth it.

I have never spent any $$ for more under coating or stuff like that.

30 plus years for me doing it.
