Wendy's Now Cares

I quit going to Wendy's because of the horrible no care service.
In my area everyone else did the same.

I go by it daily and the place is empty. Also they kept raising their prices above the competition.

I guess they finally figured out they suck. I did stop last night and apparently they now care and were polite and fast and the order for once was right.

And I was the only customer at the drive thru. Money talks as usual... Sad it had to go that far.

I am still avoiding them unless I have no choice.
Your description fits the Wendy's in Murphy, Texas. The Walmart that sits behind it can be packed, the road out in front of it jammed, but there's not 1 car in the Wendy's drive-thru. They are terrible with a capital T.

Just clicked into the Wendy's app

Wendys near my work sucks bad. I've known 5 people there that have gotten food poisoning over the years and they haven't been shut down. Seen one person that got bugs in their potato 2x! I won't eat at any of them, but I never liked their food anyways :/

We stopped at one in Lake Wales FL back in January. My wife and I needed to us the bathroom first. We both came out and decided to leave. The place looked like a crime scene it was so dirty. On top of that the staff was arguing with a guy who had just gone through the drive through and they had completely messed up his order. The manager was yelling at him for asking for his money back. I e-mailed the corporate office and their response was as expected.
Its sad to see how far they have fallen. We do still go to one by us that somehow seems to be hanging on.

Mcdonalds is way too expensive for the quality. last time i went there the bun was hard as a rock. never going back unless they drastically cut prices. Wendy's is pretty bad here too. Last time i went they said they are only serving chicken nuggets...

they just opened a Cookout here and it's amazing. good prices and quality food.

Culvers is the place to go..

Wow really? The Wendy's here are always busy and tasty. McDonald's is terrible, Sonic burgers don't have any flavor, same with DQ. They seemed like they used to be good.

Something changed around d 2022 and it just hasnt been the same.
Yup....it'd be interesting to know what did change.
Ex: Fresh meat delivered vs partially cooked meat (stores longer) or better/worse grade veggies.

In that business there are quality selections for condiments.
Inferior mayonnaise can knock a salad dressing down a rung or two.

I do still get BOGO breakfast daily...no bread:) 20 and 30 percent deals on $10 or more and double points. Must be in your area???
Many areas got Nadia on McD deals, Subway, DQ, Culver’s and Burger King still has lots of 2:1 deals and tons of physical coupons but sadly BK can be hit or miss whether they are changing the fryer oil regularly . If they aren’t sandwich only avoids the fries issue . 2 Whopper JRs with Fries (or 2x breakfast sandwiches and hash round + coffee) recently went from $4 to $5.99 which is still better than McD.

Frustrating thing for me is that a McDouble, McTriple are no longer any cheaper than 2 little hamburgers, McDoubles being $2.99 (minimum) to $3.99 locally is too much so honestly not much there unless it’s the only one there on a trip.

Culver’s 2x dbl Delux for $8.99 can’t be beat and Subways footlong for $6.99 is ok despite the sub footlong skinny bread.

Thankfully we still have a real Takeout Chinese restaurant that hasn’t changed since the 70’s, it might not have anything spicy but for a good size lunch special with eggroll (or drink instead) $6.99-$8.99 it’s by far the best value per pound and honestly isn’t any slower

Used to like Wendy's as they had baked potato side, I didn't like that they gave me promise margarine instead of butter though!

Then, some time ago - maybe 15 years - or even two decades ago they stopped selling those juicy fatty loose smash and square chuck burgers that were fantastic ! into something that resembled wild new mexico mustang byproduct dried up burnt to a crisp. I think that was less than a year after Dave died.
Too bad - now there is nothing ... 'cept good home bar-b-que !

Have your taste buds and pallette changed? Mine have. When I quit smoking 30 years ago food tastes changed forever. Even simple foods come through with a massive flavor rush. Had a filet-o-fish the other day, could swear I could taste the fish and it tasted good. I.E. it wasn't massacred.

I’ve had customers get mad about our regional pricing where I work.

“I just drove from your store in X place two hours away and the brake rotors were $5/each less there!!”

“Ah, unfortunately we only price match locally.”

“Screw you, I’m going to waste four hours and $20 on gas to go save $10 on the parts!”
People are weird about pricing or goods sometimes.

McDonald’s is always very friendly when you need to interact with a human although I usually use the app as I prefer less human interactions.
My post-lifting meal is always the same - a single McDonalds cheeseburger. Everyone there is super nice except for window #1 guy. I order on the app and as I approach window #1 his hand jets out holding the receipt and before I even stop or say anything the windows is closed and he refuses to make eye contact. One day I'll blurt out thank you before the window closes...

Is he efficient? If so, maybe let it mellow.
