Wendy's Now Cares

I quit going to Wendy's because of the horrible no care service.
In my area everyone else did the same.

I go by it daily and the place is empty. Also they kept raising their prices above the competition.

I guess they finally figured out they suck. I did stop last night and apparently they now care and were polite and fast and the order for once was right.

And I was the only customer at the drive thru. Money talks as usual... Sad it had to go that far.

I am still avoiding them unless I have no choice.

I like their chicken wrap. Too bad the customer service sucks. It’s just never a pleasant interaction and they slam the drive thru door in your face before you can ask for a receipt. I always want the receipt.

McDonald’s is always very friendly when you need to interact with a human although I usually use the app as I prefer less human interactions.

I’m sure they pay the same or almost the same. But it’s obvious one business trains their employees on customer service or at least tells them to be friendly while the other doesn’t.

McDonald’s is amazing. I had an employee insist I was at the wrong location for a mobile order. It was so comical I didn’t even get mad. After about 5 min she said omg I am sorry I’m trippin’….around here a family corp owns all of them and they’re all just as bad. But the brand name is like BMW or Apple.

The deals have all dried up too in 2023. As late as 2022 I’d laugh getting a free large fry with a $1 purchase or Phillies win free crispy chicken or eagles win free 1/4 pounder. No such deals today and nothing is $1. McChicken is $2.50….

Here in my area most of the original Wendys locations closed a long time ago. A few new ones have opened, but I have not frequented them enough to make a judgement. BK, has also closed many locations too. OCharley's just closed the last location within 10 miles of my house. I think most of these fast food places are going to have to go through some kind of "automation renaissance" to be viable again since they cannot get enough help to work there.

I do still get BOGO breakfast daily...no bread:) 20 and 30 percent deals on $10 or more and double points. Must be in your area???

I’m surprised, my McD’s app always gives me great rewards and deals. Without it I wouldn’t go as “full price” is overpriced but with the app I can pretty much always find a discount.

Yours are better! I wonder if I start a new login more deals appear? I had 16,000 points where 6k is a Big Mac etc and since 2016…

I need to create a new login I bet…maybe I’m considered someone who isn’t targeted anymore

Wendy's is also a real points cheat .. takes you 3 decades to earn a double ..lol

There is a difference on a combo of $3 just 8 miles away from another McDonald's
Crazy

I’ve had customers get mad about our regional pricing where I work.

“I just drove from your store in X place two hours away and the brake rotors were $5/each less there!!”

“Ah, unfortunately we only price match locally.”

“Screw you, I’m going to waste four hours and $20 on gas to go save $10 on the parts!”

Apps accommodate instantaneous commerce so well these days. Watch your waist.

IRONY: I found only a saw buck's difference in price for dressing two rotors in towns 500 miles apart.
Value uniformity in an economy is good.

Some years back I had a neighbor that told me her dad had past away from a not fully cooked hamburger at a Wendy's .
Then some years after that story we got some special they had, and I asked if they can please cook mine well done. Nope we have a timer bla bla bla.
Yeah took it home and microwaved it good. All fast food needs a public usable microwave to cook or warm up the food, and do what they behind the counter refuse to do.

They likely want to avoid delivering a 700*F burger.
Don't forget the burned. blistered throat/suffocated man via microwaved soup story.

Also, you know how vile a public microwave oven will become.

I told my buddy 100% straight goods. If I won the 1.5 bil dollar Powerball, I’d still shop at Walmart for the qty 200 coffee filters for $1.62. However, I likely wouldn’t sit in my car another 8 min like I’m doing right now, to save $0.25 (free parking starts at 6 PM).
