Sorry for you. No doubt it’s going to be bad.
It’s really not that hard to make that mistake.
High quality long lasting kill that you used. I would think tilling might work given some time.
POSSIBLY even a good power raking and re-seed in a month or so.

Sod is bonkers expensive, not sure if it's because it's labor intensive.

We use none of that type of product. Too many streams and shallow wells.

What do you think any of these products are made with? Especially ones that persist in soil...
They are all bad - no argument from me. I don't use any herbicide on my property. None. I rather my family run, walk, sit, dig, and play in a yard full of weeds than a chemical wasteland. The amazing thing about both weeds and grass is that they are both green. And they both can be mowed or cut down.
That said, glyphosate (round up) is a known carcinogen, the active ingredients in Spectracide aren't classified as such (afaik)... yet.
In my surfing I think I saw China had some spectracide chemicals on its suspected carcinogen list...
My theory is that the chemical companies always have the next version of these products developed with a different enough chemistry to be "new". Then they wait for the last one to be proven bad enough to be finally banned/restricted, then ride the next one for 10 years until its banned/restricted....

It's common practice in some agriculture to spray the entire crop with glyphosate right before harvesting to kill it, dry it out, and make harvesting more effective. Organic fruit / vegetable / grains is a must. Otherwise literally eating this residues.
Although kind of ironic discussing all this on an automotive / oil forum. How many people here have done brake jobs without head to toe PPE? Full clothing, NIOSH respirator, goggles, etc. Brake dust, brake cleaner - huge health hazards. If you go down a rabbit hole you'll find yourself taking your vehicle to the mechanic for most jobs just to avoid the health risks even if you are perfectly capable of DIY.

I've successfully grown centipede and bermuda from seed after tilling. Tilled, spread seed, lightly raked then covered with straw, then keep it wet.
I stopped with all the "number" fertilizers 5 years ago. Now I just put Milorganite down... basically near Spring-Fall holidays +/- a week or 3.

My wife smuggled tulip bulbs from the Netherlands back to the USA, long long ago when she lived with her uncle's family. She then planted them. He saw them pushing up and hit them with vegetation killer, not knowing what they were. No matter what we do in life, someone else has done it too, so don't be too hard on oneself and live and learn.
Me? I backed my car into the steel cables last week in the co. garage, even after getting out to look how much further I should go (no cam). Luckily cleaner wax got the tiny dash shaped scratches out....

Maybe a good soaking with water and Dawn dish soap, NOT the antimicrobial kind will help. The Dawn may help to wash the treatment off the blades of grass and help soak the treatment deeper into the soil. Dawn contains a heavy dose of surfactants that can loosen soil making it more penetrable.
Kind of like hundreds of thousands Vietnam area vets were told Agent Orange would never be an issue.
Bummer, I wish I had your lawn before this mishap. Water for 24 hours and pray.
