I was at CarQuest today and walked past the oil shelves to take a look. Some classics there- a few quarts of Kendall Superb 100 & Kendall Synthetic (SG/SH on the donut, don't recall the grades), and a quart of SG Wolf's Head 20W-20. And when I was picking up oil in Checker (a store I try hard to avoid) the other day, I saw a quart of Amoco Ultimate Gold that's got to be six or seven years old. They also have a lot of 2004 Havoline stock- the 100th anniversary stuff with the vintage race car on the front. I also noticed a few quarts of SG Kendall Superb 100 at AutoZone a while back. That one is hard to figure out, since that store hasn't been there more than 5 years. And to top it off, a few years ago a local hardware store (that sells little to no oil) had some quarts of Quaker State in the old round plastic bottles. There was an offer on the back you could mail in to win a brand new 1987 Firebird I believe. Anyway, I just find it fascinating to find that old stuff around and remember when it was the hot thing on the market. If only I could find some NOS shell Fire & Ice....
