Some brainiac was playing with fireworks in dry brush and wind yesterday. We have been up all night watching to see where its going plus we are smoked out,eyes burning etc .Fire is over 1000 acres last I heard.

I am the blue dot in the pic. I think we are safe as long as it does not jump the mojave river but we are directly in the smoke path.

After a memorial service (delayed by the pandemic), there was a gathering in the woods...the dry October woods.

A true jack-a$$ of a guy lit a Chinese rice paper bag which he let float off into the woods.
A flame source fills the bag with hot air....it becomes a hot air balloon.
It's a completely uncontrollable 'pyrotechnic' which should be absolutely illegal.

Everyone tore him a new one and I'm pleased to report that I was first to straighten this fool out.

Alas, I believe he's among those "who will never be enlightened".....a true ---hole.

It has a 12 hour history. Rewind to 23:30 and can see it burning. By 05:20 it’s a wide swath of smoke.
