Waxing toilet bowl

Get a spray bottle. Fill it with 1/5 Dawn Ultra and 4/5 water. Spray the offensive area with the solution. Wait 1-7 minutes and then flush. Problem solved.

I guess being round, the buffer should fit in there nicely! I'd suggest a sealant like Klasse, topped with collonite 476. Then use spray wax as a top coat.

You could prep it and coat the bowl with a 3 coats of a nice 2k clear coat, then use sealant and wax.

I wouldn't really try anything. All the major toilet makers have learned that a good glaze will help immensely. It won't necessarily help with a soft turd that just sticks to the bowl. What really helps is to make sure that the bowl fill is at the maximum, which is needed for maximum suction. It also covers more. Sometimes you need to wait for the water to soften up everything. Then the next flush will take it away.

I don't know if there's anything that might work like the equivalent of Rain-X. Something like that would probably not work if it's constantly submerged as it will go away. Wax might actually makes things worse if the waste somehow embeds itself in the wax and you'll need to clean it off manually.

I don't like the idea of it in a home, but high pressure helps immensely with this sort of thing. Nothing works quite as well as the water cannon effect of a pressure assist or a flushometer.

So exactly how do Toilet bowl cleaners work?

I thought they were acidic, but not as much as drain cleaners?
But they can't damage the factory "glaze" that low flow china bowls depend on....

But to be honest, the market has a "sheet load" of bad toilet designs. That is why I stick with Toto toilets. ...and I know the POTUS did sign a bill/law/order allowing more water usage for dishwashers, washing machines, and the sale of incandescent light bulbs. I do not know if toilets were included.

Depends on the toilet bowl cleaner. Some are bleach based and highly alkaline. Not sure of the "blue" (or other color) type. I've heard of recommendations to not use those because it may increase the viscosity of the tank water, which will then affect the power of the flush. In any case they have problems because they can damage the fill valve, flapper, and flush valve. They're pretty bad for the seals.

Fluidmaster has its own system that sends out the cleaner through the fill valve tube rather than dissolving in the tank. I still wouldn't use it. I'm not quite sure how it would work with some of the fill tube metering systems designed to save water. It might still expose some seals to the chemicals.

I have waxed my toilet bowl. I does seem to help some. It seems to last about a couple of months. I have applied Meguires liquid wax two times so far...

We have some iron in our well water and I am trying to find a way to reduce staining. The skid marks don’t seem to stick as bad though.

I must say that I have enjoyed the responses to your question though. I needed the 😆

Best thread ever. Period.
If you try it I want to know how it works out.

I used to wax my hot tube when I had one, but I was single and well lets just say I am glad I am alive.
