Water Spots on Paint

Good Evening All.

How do I remove 'Hard Water' spots from a One Repaint 96 Camry?

The repaint is modern Urthane topped with the correct Clear Coat.

The spots are mostly calcium in the rinse water.

It can vary from a simple chemical wipe down to serious machine compounding depending on the severity. Here is a starting point:

plain white vinegar, right out of the bottle. Had a car soaked by sprinklers all day in a public lot. wiped it down with the vinegar. about 3 passes to keep it wet, then a regular wash. no spots!

rinse water? Id start by using a leaf blower right after wash to blow them off and away.

Stuff that is stuck on, Id start with a minimalist approach - wash and then attach with quick detailer and a microfiber towel, if that does not work, then try a polish, and if that does not work, try a fine compound. Top with wax after doing it.

My S2000 got water spots on it from my sprinklers after being out in the yard while the inside of my barn was being paved. I used Menzerna SF4500 and a Porter Cable DA polisher with great results. The Menzerna is an extremely fine finishing polish which will remove light imperfections without adding any swirls.
