Removing tree Sap?

No odor minerals spirits is fine for your paint as is iso alcohol (diluted).

Ah, did not know that. I thought no odor stuff was the same, just more refined or something. I try to keep some 90+% rubbing alcohol around, as a general purpose cleaner. Will remember that for tree sap then.

+1 It is also a good window cleaner. I have used IPA on tree sap that was dried on for over a year and it took it off without issue. I typically wash the vehicle or area afterwards as part of the cleaning process but IPA is paint/clearcoat safe

Pine sap is a good paint protectant just like you see some plastic dipping their car. You could start charging to park under the tree and get that good coat of sap started.

Used to be every 10 years we had a huge frog population explosion in Toledo, OH and those critters would cover the roads at night. Try getting those off the sides of your car when thousands of them splattered up and down the sides.

Ive always had great luck with Zippo lighter fluid

IPA wipe down. Thats what the detailers call it after they've polished a car and want to remove any residue/oils before applying a protective sealant or wax.
