Read a ton of post on this wax and that wax and polish and cleaner A compared to cleaner B and so on.

So, I go down to an Auto Paint retailer and ask questions and they sell a different line of stuff for waxing/polishing ur auto/truck. I will spare u the details as u need to go and do that yourself for ur own education. Its a different world in a Auto/Paint/Detail store.

A buffer/rotary compound wax applicator is 200 bucks for a professional machine, not the 30 dollar toy at wally world or the auto parts store,,yep a whole new world in professional Auto/Paint store.

Long story/short, I paid a guy a 100 bucks to clean, compound, polish, wax my old dodge one ton extended van.It was worth it, we did not do the roof, it needs prayer and a lot more.lol. The labor alone was enough to drive me nuts just to spend all day maybe doing it. Plus I would have had to buy a buffer and wax and rags and on and on and that was to much money for that and I'm not dead today from blood sweat and tears. Sometimes u gotta throw that old male ego out the window.IMHO

I also recently paid someone to do both vehicles at a $100 a pop and was intending on them detailing the cars twice a year. I was pleased with the work they had done but then started reading from all of these detailing forums and I got the bug. I just ordered a dual action orbital buffer and now plan to clay/wax/polish/buff 3-4 times a year.
From all of my reading it seems that Collinite is probably the best bang for the buck and its longevity is legendary. Also Duragloss is well respected. I bought my buffer from Griots and it came with a wax and polisher. When I run out I intend to buy both if these products.
