Walmart Super Tech - has it been discontinued?

I go to my local Walmart this morning to get some SuperTech Full Synthetic as my vehicle needs an oil change, and almost all of the SuperTech is gone, and they had nothing in the weight I need. I go online to order it and it's all out of stock. What's going on?

Not for me. Some do show "Low stock" but it's available. When I change it to store pick-up, it also indicates they have it on the shelves too.

After seeing shortages, price increases and possible changes to base oils happening recently, I’m glad I stocked up

It´s dramatically reduced at our local WM, for sure. I went in looking for ATF+4 and there was none and I could not find a space on the shelf for it. What used to be a large area of shelf space for Supertech motor oils is now very small.

They have gone through a wave of rebranding lately with Hart and Hyper Tough. Super Tech might become Mega Wiwi or something. I'm excited.

My walmart still had super tech yesterday but the shelf space was for it was reduced a bunch same with quaker state and the ultimate protection is gone now.

This is the first I've heard of a shortage. It seems there's a shortage of everything these days. What's the supposed cause of the motor oil shortage? Does big oil want to do even more price gouging?

It's been discussed. Base stock shortage due to the Horniz situation.

Probably just Walmart being Walmart. They can't keep a steady stock of anything to save their lives.
