I'll bet money they can't pass the background check.
Not what I was thinking. I meant they could grab a gun, fill it with bullets and fire away right in the store.

Outside of DC, things are very different.Walmart sells guns? Do gun stores sell motor oil?
Don't go much into Walmart do you?Not what I was thinking. I meant they could grab a gun, fill it with bullets and fire away right in the store.
It’s clear that you don’t know much about guns, or gun stores, so, perhaps it would be best if you stopped idle, inflammatory, speculation and fear-mongering.Not what I was thinking. I meant they could grab a gun, fill it with bullets and fire away right in the store.
Walmart policy is a manager walks the boxed firearm out of the front door before it is handed to the purchaser. This occurs AFTER the background check and checkout. Not what I was thinking. I meant they could grab a gun, fill it with bullets and fire away right in the store.
Bought a little .410 at Walmart … after waiting for them to finish phone calls … they would only hand it over on the way out … two employees escorted me to the door …Not what I was thinking. I meant they could grab a gun, fill it with bullets and fire away right in the store.
Specifically the Colonial Heights store pulled all the guns a month ago and recently pulled ALL of the ammo also. They still have inventory but refuse to sell any guns...claim is due to a directive from corporate.
yes, and it is not at all uncommon for them to have a backstop dirt pile and target shooting after the monthly fellowship BBQ lunch. If you can't put 10 in the black at 100 yards then you are a bit suspect.Outside of DC, things are very different.
A general store in rural Arkansas would be expected to have guns, ammo, clothing, and yeah, motor oil.
In Morrisville, VT, there is a gun store, liquor store and subway sandwich shop in the same building. Everything you need in one stop...
That’s ridiculous our state sure isn’t what it used to be and is only getting worse .
I don’t think it’s the company because some locations have them and some don’tA business deciding if they want to sell guns and ammo isn't a "state's decision".
Correct. He isn't referring to the state government, he is alluding to the fact that Virginia used to lean right on traditional values type stuff....but with the population explosion in the more liberal Northern Va area, the state has a much different feel to it
Ha, Petersburg WM is still selling guns and ammo.I am 100% pro 2nd Amendment....but selling guns near Petersburg is a little nuts.
Go in at 11:00 PM and see the odd assortment of people.
Haven't stopped. They completely stopped handgun sales in the 90s except in Alaska. They completely stopped most handgun ammo (pus .223) sales in 2019 and stopped handgun sales in Alaska. What they still sell are hunting rifles and shotguns.I thought they had stopped selling guns a few years ago?

Exactly.
That is probably right the Walmart I rarely go to in the middle of the city doesn’t have guns or ammo I believe anymore. The one that’s closest to me is near the interstate but 2 very rural towns border it they still have guns and ammo also scopes and cases and archery stuff that the other doesn’t carryIf it's like in my area, the Walmarts that are located in more "rural" areas still sell guns (rifles and shotguns only, not handguns), but the ones in the populated cities do not, they do however still sell ammo in those Walmarts. So it could still be a corporation decision based on store location - I doubt it's any kind of state, county or city mandate.
