I had to argue with a manager before they matched online price. At first they acted like they are not able to match online price, but then finally gave in. Wasted my time to save $4, really cant stand going to Walmart store, incompetent employees.

For the wages they pay, you aren't going to get the best and the brightest. I am happy enough when they understand and are helpful. I also don't make frequent visits as I am not a big shopper.

Their price match policy states pricing matching only with Walmart.com prices but final decision rest with the store manager.

It is something they can do, not that they have to do it.

I am no Walmart policy expert. Lesson learned, do not go to Walmart to take advantage of rebates. My time is more valuable. Back to online shopping only…

My store will match their online prices at the register if it specifically states that store and in stock. Never been hassled by them about it.

I just bought two jugs of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum $29.44 per 0w20 and 5w30. all the other pennzoil synthetics were roll back prices but not the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. I submitted my $30 rebate and it was accepted. so wasn't going to quibble over a few dollars. only place in my area that carries Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is Walmart. I usually order from Amazon in the 3 jug boxes but they are currently out.

Home Depot is the same. I asked the Mgr to price match their online price and she said they don't do price matching at all. I then showed her the company statement on the website and she said it is wrong. I haven't shopped there since.

It is an imperfect world sometimes.
