3-pack 5 quart oil jugs on "rollback" at Walmart

I'm seeing temporary "rollbacks" on some oils of note that are popular here, such as the following when purchased on walmart.com:

In my area it requires pick up at a local store, no shipping. Order online, pick up at store.

Hopefully they have it in store when you get there. I did that last week and they only had 1 jug of the Restore and Protect viscosity I ordered (0W-20) but I was Ok with 2x 5W-20 to be substituted.

To me it seems like they escaped the price increasing efforts for the time being. Or in lieu of that they had the rollback planned way ahead of time and just forgot to cancel it.

Individual jugs of Mobil 1 Extended Performance jumped to $35.96 at my wal-mart a few days ago. Luckily I bought some of the 3 packs a few months ago when they were like $75

I noticed this on the Walmart app and it appears that they are marking up super tech synthetic oils to about $25 per 5 quart jug of 10k mile version and $27 per 5 quart jug of 20k mile version.

Just a few days ago those same products were $18 and $20 but now they are shown as being out of stock and unavailable for purchase at that price, at least on the Walmart app.

I think i will buy a 3 pack of the Valvoline Restore and Protect. I don't think we will see it again for $30 a jug unless its a clearance, and it might be the most popular oil now...

Yep, even costco has been out of stock online since its last sale on Kirkland oil. Some warehouses have some but thats it.

Thanks, jumped in on the 5w30 Restore and Protect 3 pack. At $90 thats a good price.

When I buy them it comes as a full case of 3 5qt jugs in a Mobil 1 box. I can believe it is a special SKU as I have never seen them in the store.

I got 3 5 quart jugs Mobil1 ESP 0W30 Wednesday for $28 each. Delivered same day but they were individual jugs not boxed. All 3 were unopened.
