Found Quaker State Ultimate Protection at Walmart online

It can be hit and miss out here as well. I tried to always have one jug on hand but now both my cars use 0w-20 so I keep two around. My Walmart stores carry far more QS Full Syn than ultimate protection. That was my go to for years and will continue to be my fallback if needed.

Quaker State Ultimate Protection stock was very low at my walmart last week. It did the same thing last year around this same time of year. Seemed like after about 2 months stock started rolling in again.

OP here: My jug of QS Ultimate Protection came today and the container had leaked. The cap wasn't tightened all the way down and the box could have fit 3 containers (too much room for excessive movement)....they did have bubble rap but the delivery people probably tossed it around as well. I probably only lost a few ounces so I haven't decided if I'll return it.
In the past Walmart has taped down the cap and a few times they taped the cap and put the jugs into plastic bags but this time they were careless.
Also, I think it's been mentioned on here in the past that SOPUS jugs are more prone to leaking because they fail to use a foil seal on the cap?

I would never use any motor oil bought new that has been opened by unknown party(ies)
It wasn't 'opened' but the cap wasn't tightened all the way and the oversized box allowed it to fall over and leak. The delivery people probably tossed it around as well which didn't help. I did return it today because I paid for 128 ounces of oil and probably got about 120.

I checked 6 Walmarts over the weekend. They were out of ALL the QS UP and its out of stock online. The lady said it was being discontinued. Idk if she meant that particular store, or for Walmart in general.

Thought I heard that SOPUS was trying to offload the motor oil business. Could be why Quaker State is hard to find currently.

I found 4 jugs thos past weekend. Funny thing tho. 2 of the jugs are labeled API SP and 2 jugs are API SQ. The SP jugs says Dexos certified but the SQ do not. Im sure the SQ meets the Dexos cert, but im wondering if SOPUS just decided to not pay for the cert because they knew they were discontinuing QS UP??
