As far as I know, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum never had a Dexos rating. I have several 5 quart jugs of it that I bought months ago. No Dexos on them.

You may be correct. I know he talked about oils losing their Dexos rating because of formulation change, but he was specifically showing test results of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in the video. If I remember correctly he said it was still a good oil, it just wasn't AS good. And to me, if that's the case then the consumer shouldn't be paying the same price for it. But I don't think we should hold our breath waiting for the price to come down either. I ran this stuff for years and just recently switched over to Valvoline Restore and Protect a couple of months ago in 2 of my vehicles. Looks like I made the change at the right time.

A lot of oils will be losing their Dexos certification and some are asking to not use it until everything settles down.

I went to my local Walmart this morning .... pennzoil platinum 0w20 ..5w20 and 5w30. Built April/may 2026. All said made with NG on back of bottle description.......... life stays the same

The base oils and add packs were also made 3-6 months prior to that. Supply chain bubbles eventually catch up.

Not to mention the in transit products and reserves that are depleting. More changes are still to come. Obviously Pennzoil was hit very hard.
