Walmart delivered food to the wrong address

I came home from work and these groceries were in front of my garage. They were sitting out there for 5 hours according to the label. There was milk, chicken, beef, frozen foods in some of the bags. I tried to call Walmart and it just rings, no one picks up. I put all the stuff in my car and drive over to the store and park in the pickup area. I waited for one of the store workers to finish loading the car next to me. I told the kid what happened and he just stares at me. He stays to keep it, they will just throw it out. I told him I don’t want any of it. So he loads it in his cart and wheels it back inside the store. One of the bags had religious votive candles in it, bad juju if I kept any of it.

I would have delivered it to someone in my neighborhood if it had an address on the labels. It just had the persons first name and order number. With today’s GPS base maps. You shouldn’t be delivering to a wrong address.

Walmart delivers my orders to the house next door even though my address is on the label. I've tried to find a way to contact them about the problem, but I've been unable to speak to a human or receive a reply. I wouldn't trust them to deliver food to me

The store will probably restock the non-perishables, but perishables must go due to food safety. A lot of the stores use gig workers (Spark drivers) for grocery delivery. So, you've got Carl in his 1998 Toyota Corolla handling the last mile of the delivery. This isn't meant to demean gig workers named Carl or the 1998 Toyota Corolla, lol.

Google still thinks I live approximately 3 miles from where I actually do. No amount of calls, texts, efforts to remedy the situation has been successful.

Our address predates Google by decades.

The USPS has issues with correctly delivering too.

It's nothing but incompetence.

Walmart delivers my groceries to another address fairly often. Customer service actually started giving me a hard time as if I was making it up, so I started giving them links to my security cam footage if the time period it says it was delivered in proving nobody came, lol.

This. I would have called but my time is worth money and they need to come pick it up. It was their error and that shouldn't cost me time and headache.

If the address was on the sticker, I would have taken it to the correct house. If not, I'm keeping what I want and pitching whatever is bad or I don't want.

At least a couple times a year I'm exchanging deliveries with the neighbors, it's almost always next door or 2 doors down. They've got mine by mistake and I've got theirs. It's always been UPS, FedEx, USPS or Amazon.

Sam's Club (owned by Walmart) delivered a package to me instead of my next door neighbor. The addresses are very visible. The delivery person must not have looked or cared. The box was about 3 ft by 3 ft by 5ft weighed 75 pounds. So, no way was I schlepping it over to my neighbors house. Finally met my new neighbors and found out that they spoke English. Told them to team up and come and get it.

We sometimes get grocery delivery via Instacart for my in-laws and they received a couple extra bags of groceries that they didn't order. I contacted the driver and Instacart but received no reply.

I live on a corner lot. The neighboring house behind me fronts on my side street. We both have the same numerical address just different street names. Unfortunately it's a rental and I don't always get to know the tenants. It has caused all kinds of problems for delivery people. I'll come home to restaurant deliveries on my porch a lot. Sometimes they magically appear with no knock or a rung doorbell. I'll take it over but it's often been on my porch way to long to be any good. Delivery people just in too big of a hurry and don't check address number and street!

With WM & Sams delivering I select “handoff” meet driver, not drop off. I receive a code to give driver. Prevents deliveries to wrong address. Then I receive tracking information and notification when they arrive.

I've had food from Amazon misdelivered to my place, and they said to keep it or throw it away. They do not allow food to be picked up and redelivered. In other words, keep what you like, and throw away the rest.

my buddies mom (who lives in AK) owns a 1 acre plot with a small Storage barn out in the country near by, the house to the immediate south is her late Ex husband's unstable brother...
if you put HER address into ANY GPS, it directs you to HIS driveway, not hers. it's funny if you have deliveries, or a contractor coming out to do something ( like when we had to MOVE the barn, because of the neighbors harassment to the local zoning people), the Driver with the big equipment pulled into Crazy uncle's driveway, instead of hers, and he come out swinging his arms, and getting angry.

then there's the one block road my brother lives on... at one end the sign says "Amy Dr.", at the other end, "Amy Ave"... each work in certain databases. when you put in his address to ship something for example, some times you have to put in one, some the other...

Might be differently stated” no one shops at any retailer, especially an online retailer, expecting even the most basic of customer service like a human answering the phone “.

I have zero expectations of customer service from any online transactions, at any level.

Funny, my credit card company that I have ooma autopay in sold my account to citiba, and Citibank declined the trans. Discovered wife no longer uses ooma, so I went to cancel the ooma phone service.

Ooma won’t allow online cancels, and a phone call is required. Yet ooma won’t take a cancellation call on evenings, nights, or weekends. But ooma will surely allow a customer to sign up and activate service on evenings, nights, and weekends.

As someone that does gig work like this on the side and who helps my dad do it it’s often so frustrating to try and find these places. One thing I wish Spark did that the other apps do is show a picture of the last delivery and where it was delivered so you can make sure it matches where you are. That’s been extremely helpful. And we have also been taken for a loop by the directions which also makes it difficult too. Luckily for me and my dad we have never delivered to the wrong location before so we’ve been lucky on that.

I do wish those printed labels on the pick up orders for Spark had the address on them too.
