There are some downright DUMPY walmarts in the suburbs that are staying open.
I see all these threads on here about people getting real deals on oil and other items at walmart, but I never find any deals on anything. Everything is priced "just" right, there is no cheap oil to be found, but they are priced a little lower than the auto parts store.
Also I do not like Walmart's food at all. Meat never looks good, produce never looks good, and nothing is priced properly. All the meat is prepackaged nonsense.
I have done fine with groceries from Walmart...even my Walmart-hating mother finally admitted it recently. (Though, almost 5 years later, I STILL haven't lived down the time I was getting supplies for shepherd's pie and accidentally grabbed a pound of 73% lean meat...)
